Clifford's POV

"Okay! Cut! Great work today everyone! We can wrap it up now!" The director loudly said to everyone.

"Ahh! Finally it finished.." I sighed heavily as I was exhausted from just watching them go on and on.

I looked over to Mr. Valentino, noticing a drop of sweat falling from his forehead. It was my cue to go over him now.

I took the bottle of cold water and the towel that was both beside me, and started making my way to him.

Before I could even finish walking two steps, a bunch of staff members suddenly appeared out of no where. Rushing to pack up all the equipments that were on set. It was as if a load of ants were all marching to obtain their food together.

With me just standing in the middle of the way, it wasn't surprising for me to get pushed to the ground.

I lost my balance as one of them bumped into me. It wasn't typically painful because I landed on my butt. But still, this is kinda embarrasing.

I get myself up from the ground as I brush off the dirt I had on me.

I looked around to see that Mr Valentino was still there talking to one of the producers.

"Good thing he's still there." I eventually starting walking torwards him again.

"Mateo! Wah... Why are you sweating so much? Here's a towel."

I stopped.

"Stay still, I'll wipe it off."

"Seriously, you don't have to do this for me."

"A simple thank you would be nice"

Mr. Granché smiled happily as he puts his arms around Mr. Valentino's shoulders while they bantered, laughing as if they were having the best times of their lives.

Even so, Mr. Valentino was smiling brightly, an expression he doesn't usually show anyone.

I guess I thought that maybe I was special. Or maybe unique to Mr. Valentino...

God what am I thinking? I should just go get him, it's my job afterall.

I walked up to them and handed Mr. Valentino the water bottle I was holding.

He suddenly widened his eyes and pushed away Mr. Granché's arms.

"Oh, Cliff! Th-thanks." He said as he took it,

Why is he acting like he was doing something wrong. Does it look like I care if he dates someone? it's none of my business anyways. Psh. They could marry eachother for all I care.

Even though my mind was full of petty thoughts, I kept it from affecting my expression outside.

"Do you want anything? Hot coffee or tea?"
I asked Mr. Valentino.

"Hot coffee would be nice." He replied.

I nodded and went to the counter where the coffee machine was placed.

"-And the time you threw your laptop outside your window made me realize how much of a spoiled brat you are!" Mr. Granché said while laughing.

"Wait, hold on, didn't you challenged me to a shooting competition? You folded ten dollar bills and aimed at the trash can!"

"Well I did win"

They both laughed histerically.

These brats, nothing but unthankful spolied kids. Jesus... I would have dugged in their trash can if I were in the room where it happend.

As I was silently judging them in my thoughts while pouring hot water in a cup.

I accidentally poured the hot water too fast, resulting to the water reflecting torward my hand that was holding the cup.

"Ahh-.." I let out a slight groan but they were able to hear me.

Mr. Valentino didn't hesitate and immediately rushed to me.

"Are you alright Cliff?" He asked worriedly.

"Y-yeah, I'm alright."

He grabbed my hands and led me to the sink next to me.

He rubbed it gently while the water was flowing down my hands.

"I-I can do it myself.." I said

"Oh.. sorry.."  He took away his hands.

"I'll go get an ice pack." He said while scratching the back of his head.

Before I could even tell him that it wasn't necessary anymore, he already headed out.

When I almost didn't realize, Mr. Granché was still in the room.

He walked up to me with an expression where he was basically thinking of something.

"What is it?" I asked as I wanted to know why he was looking at me.

"You two seem close... What's your relationship with him?" He asked.

"What are you talking about? He's a celebrity, and I'm his manager."

"He seems to be far more considerate of you for just a celebrity-manager relationship." He said while crossing his arms.

"What are you saying?"

"The fact that Mateo ran up to you faster than me irritates me." He said while glaring at the ground.

"Why did you apply for this job?" He looked at me and asked.

"I guess I needed the money, and this job happened to be available..?" I squeaked.

He walked closer and closer torwards me, I hit my back against the wall as he put his arm next to my head.

"Well that's perfect! I happen to be lacking a manager by my side. We couldn't really find anyone who suited the job, so I'd be overwhelmed to have a close friend of mine to take that position."

"Come work for me Clifford." He smiled.

"..."

Why the heck is he asking me to work for him?

And more importantly why is he talking to me in this position...?

"I don' t know how Mateo treats you but I guarantee It'd be easier working for me."

"Look I-"

I noticed a familiar figure standing behind Mr. Granché.

...Mateo?
