Mateo's POV
"Shit..." I swore under my breath once the lights went off. My phone started buzzing and a familiar tone started to play, so I dug my hand inside my pocket in search of my phone.
The name of the director flashed on my screen, "Hello? What the hell happened to the electricity?" I quickly spewed out upon answering the call.
"I don't know, it seems that we all lost power. I've already got people on the way to check out the source of the problem. Stay in your trailer, I'll call again when it's okay." And with that he hung up, leaving no room for questions.
Whatever, wasn't planning on leaving here anytime soon, anyways. I fixed my position and ended up leaning my side against the couch, my legs spread out. I glanced at Clifford, "Funny how I'm the boss yet here I am, on the floor while you're sleeping comfortably on my couch."
Moments have passed and still no sign of electricity. Great. I'm starting to slowly fall asleep when all of a sudden, Clifford groaned and was rolling off of the couch.
'Please no, please no.' Before I could even react, Clifford has already fallen between my outstretched legs, the back of his head landing on my chest while my body supported his.
"Holy sh-"
"Ugh, be quiet."
My eyes widened at the sound of his annoyed tone, I craned my neck to look at his face. I let out sigh of relief when I saw that he was in fact still asleep. Wait.
He's asleep. On me.
'Okay... Gotta stay calm... Nothing I can't handle right?' Nope.

After moments of panicking, I gave up and let it all sink in, "You're making me go through so much trouble, Clifford. I'm starting to wonder if this job really suits you." I said in a hushed tone, staring at his sleeping face.
I started feeling tired again, seeing that the workers aren't fixing anything anytime soon, I might as well take a rest as well.
"For someone so small, you sure weigh a bloody ton." I adjusted our positions, laying myself down while letting his body rest on mine.
