Death Note. (L x Reader x Light)

Chapter Ten: Rivalry.

After pacing back and forth in the room, you walk up to L and crouch down behind him, "How's surveillance going?" You ask, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"I-it's going alright." He stutters, a small pink adorns his cheeks. Sighing lightly, you nuzzle into his neck.

"You placed the camera really well." Light nods, keeping his concentration on the screen.

Smirking, you reply, "Was that a compliment from king flower crown?" He redirects his gaze to you, smirking lightly with his eyes asking, 'Really?' Small chuckles escape your lips as you nod. "How much longer are you two gunna be cuffed?" You ask.

Biting his thumb, thinking, L replies, "Well if it turns out they are Kira, I may be able to lower my suspicions enough to take them off... Of course since there has been people who are just criminals and not just connected to a company, that means there are at least two Kira's."

"Mhm, I know that."

"So once we catch one, we can focus on the other." He adds.

Groaning, you stand up. "I'm bored."

"Er, why don't we go out somewhere?" L asks.

"Well one of us have to watch the cameras..." You mutter.

Sighing, Light looks at you, "I'll do it. Go."

Jumping around a little, you smile, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Wrapping your arms around his neck, you kiss his cheek.

"J-just get out of here." He stutters. L unlocks the cuffs before taking your hand in his.

"Let's get going, thank you, Light." L smirks at Light, winking.

~~~~Light's POV~~~~

Damn it! L is alone with [Y/N]... He better not try anything, she's mine.

Gazing down at the cameras, you notice the men begin to pile into the conference room. After turning up the volume, you listen in.

"Alright... What's the next order of business?" The CEO asks.

"I suggest that Kira takes out that Mr. Ryuzaki after the partnership but for now we rid of the Tubasa company." Another states.

After sighing, one man agrees until they come up with a unanimous decision. "Alright. What else?"

Did I just get a confession that easily? But how do they do it?

(Incase you haven't been able to tell, when Light came back and you thought he seemed like a different person it's because he made Ryuk give one of the men from the Yotsuba company the Death Note- it's his plan.)

Walking down the street with L, you're just talking about random things, "I want something sweet." L mumbles.

Chuckling, you throw him a lollipop, "Here."

"You always look after me, huh?" He chuckles, unwrapping it.

You nod, giggling, "Of course." While walking, yours and L's hand brushes slightly when your heart flutters a little.

What the..?

After reaching an ice rink, you two get some skates and get on. Slowly, you glide around as L struggles, nearly falling. Chuckling, you skate over to him and hold out your hands, "C'mon, Ryu."

"I-I'll be fine." He stutters, trying to keep up by himself. You raise your eyebrow at him, watching him. Soon enough, he falls onto his knees.

Laughing, you hold out your hands again, "Stop being so stubborn." A small groan slips out of his pink lips as he grabs your hands. The touch of his skin in yours causes you to blush slightly and your heart to skip a beat. Shrugging it off, you skate backwards a little to help L gain his balance. His dark orbs gaze into yours showing you trust, something L doesn't ever show- even to you- and something else. An emotion you'd never seen before in L.
