Chapter 10

The silence was eating me like a termite, I couldn't take it any more. I couldn't see Leyla like that.

"Leyla please speak."
I urged.
It didn't seemed like she heard me. Tears continued rolling down her face silently.

"May I tell her Leys?"
Ted asked.

She shook her head.

"Emrale-"
She finally began.

I nodded encouraging her.

"Yesterday when you left our house. Ted told me all that happened. We had a bad fight and I left the house too, I came looking for you. I checked everywhere for any hint of yours. Your house, I called your mom, in her gallery, but just couldn't reach to anyone. I couldn't think straight, I just took my car and drove looking for you, uncertain of place. I finally reached the beach and found your car parked there. I had barely breathed in relief when I felt the disturbance in the woods. I followed it under strange stimulation and then everything went numb."
(After a sigh and small pause.)

"I felt like I was freed at the same time falling. I was not alive where I was standing. I was alive in a complete different world. Everything was too dark at that time. I couldn't wait for that darkness to lighten. I just followed the darkness and soon the world around me became my very own world. It was rotated in the strange angles. It's gravity was pulling me towards it at the same time pushing me away. I was following a scent just a presence, an utter desperation to get closer to that feeling, there was happiness in forest air and-".she continued after long pause.

"As I was getting closer my anxiety was just bubbling up like the bubbles in soda can. I can't describe how contended I felt, at the same time anxious! excited! Just few more steps and there, I dashed into- a- my- a werewolf!"
She said sobbing or kind of happy and sad mixed sobs.

"Into- into my soulmate."
She completed.

Looking intensely in my eyes as if seeing directly through me.

"You- are a- werewolf's Mate!"
I just couldn't take it out. I could just whisper.
I was damn happy for my best friend found her life partner. She so deserved to be loved. But the thought of who could he be was eating me up. But except for all of this there was my instinct which was saying something too unusual and too was coming. And now a days my instinct we're getting more distinct and stronger.

But anyways does it matters? Now a days what was usual happening around me? What really was bothering me was, this time it wasn't me. It was Leyla I can't imagine any of those sort of thing happening to her. But since she was to be imprinted by wolf- well, I guess she is already dragged in these things too. Now when things were dawning upon my loved ones I was getting scared of starting with this journey.

I didn't know how much time I took to compose myself and speak the next sentence. But I was quick enough to frame it when they expected me to.

"Who- who is- it?"
I managed.

Leyla looked at me I don't know with which spark or which magic but her eyes really felt so transparent that I could see something broke in her, at same time she was happy to see it breaking.

"B- Be- Bella Cullen. She. Is- is my Luna."
She said, taking almost like infinity to speak the name.
The spark in her eyes, the pride in her voice and that strong urge to hide the happiness and blush on her face. Yet she couldn't deny the fear, even though she didn't knew what was it for. Just that one look and her face said it all.

With that every fear in me came alive. Every second was now passing like a nightmare.
