"Defending me? Bu - but why?" I asked very slowly.

I suddenly started feeling cold, goosebumps on my hand and shiver running down my spine. I felt accused. Guilty for Mrs. Perk's death.

"That means I am the reason for her death." I continued.

Tears began to form in my eyes. Am I the reason, Leyla and Ted lost their mom? Am I the one because of whom this all is happening?

"No no no! Em's you are getting it wrong. It was an accident. My mom already knew that would happen we just didn't had enough time to protect things."
She said.
She was not making any sense and that was frustrating. I was loosing my patience.

"Leyla you are just consoling me in vain."
I told her as humbly as I could.

"No Ems its not like that I better start from beginning."
She began.

"Even I don't know exactly what has happened. It was your first birthday, we were waiting for some special guests when suddenly everything was fast forwarded. Mom asked my dad to take us all away. Mom along with group of almost ten to fifteen people of traditional folk from reservation down the hill came to help my mom with the whole mess.

And all of us means your parents, dad, me and Ted left for Seattle with five to six people from I that folk. They were helping us getting out safely. Completely unaware of the danger.

We reached Port Angeles when my mom caught up with us. She had her friends with her two angel like people. They wanted to see you. They were the special guest we were waiting for. Dad said they were family friend. We were at uncle Charlie's residence, in Port Angeles. He is our old family friend.

That was the last time I saw my mom and those family friends I surprisingly never knew but just after first meet I was sure I could never forget them. They were so generous and so beautiful. They were all over you. They even knew us so well. Even your parents knew them. It was a kind of farewell. For them and for my mom."
She said with a sad smile. I didn't interrupted her in middle. I was speechless. So she continued.

"After that everything rushed too fast, some kind of group attacked us. We were attacked by some different kind of group. Your dad rushed me and your mom into the safe corner. Before my dad could get hold of you Ted's instincts worked wrong and the magic crashed the wall beside you my mom did something with her stick making the walls break into pieces. And she dived to save you but the large stone falling were almost about to hit her when something happened!

Another magic, it was Ted again but not breaking anything but freezing all the stones at their place like an invisible shield. Well these all are my dad's word not mine. I don't remember a single thing from that part except for those beautiful people's face. The that smiling at us so adoringly and then that face when they were back stabbed by I don't know who of course they all were in blue and silver hooded gowns.

We were leaving the place from a hidden narrow passage of that place. When I saw them three holding one of the and three holding another they stabbed the knife in their heart but they tried their best keeping all of them almost ten of them diverted from my mom! While she gave you to your parents saying them her last words. Your mom looked at those angel faces and they gave her a sad smile when they were back stabbed.

When they turned back facing the traitor, again my dad's words. All of their eyes including your parents and my dad's were all shocked! The betrayal killed my parents, those beautiful couples and members of the folk whose other members helped us escape safely."

She completed abruptly. She was always worst at story telling but it wasn't good time to think about it.

There were many answers I had no question for and too many questions I had no answer for. I knew, I had definitely more to do with it than it looks. Now it was not just about Ted and his mom being wizard or James being a werewolf. Neither it has anything to do with me falling in love with James. It was something about me. About my past and future.
