Lucy's POV
After dinner was finished Virgo so graciously offered to take it to Master Natsu while I left down the hall and to my room. Most of the adrenaline had worn off during cooking so everything hurt 10 times worse.

By the time I finally entered my room I was on the verge of tears. The pain was so intense I almost collapsed as soon as the door closed. My head was pounding, my eye was throbbing and I'm sure my nose was broken. My side hurt worse than I anticipated. My arms were sore as a result of my attempt to block her punches from hitting my face.

This has got I be the worst pain I have ever had to endure in my entire life. I hate it here. I have to find a way to escape. But in the meantime I have to figure out who he is so I can convince Lisanna I haven't don't anything.

All the sudden a wave of exhaustion washes over my body and I can barley stay standing.

I slowly push myself to my bathroom and decide to wash the cuts all over my body first.

Slowly but surely I make it towards the sink and turn on the water. After filling the sink I start scrubbing from my face to the end of my stomach.

Natsus POV
I'm currently sitting at the end of the dining table waiting for Lucy to bring my my dinner, but when my food comes out, it's Virgo pushing the cart. This makes me oddly uneasy and unsatisfied. I try to stay calm while asking, "Where's Lucy?"

"There was an unfortunate accident and Lucy couldn't serve you dinner tonight master. I'm sorry." Virgo replies.

"What? What happened?" I try to sound like I don't care but I'm pretty sure that failed.

"I'm not exactly sure, she just had a lot of bruises I didn't ask because I didn't want to make her uncomfortable."

"Mm..." I hum in response. "Where is she now?"

"I think she went back to her room-" that's all the information I need before I get up, leaving the dining room and a confused Virgo.

I make my way towards the hall and stalk towards her door, worry pumping through my veins though I don't exactly know why. I just wanted to see if she was ok which was unusual. Not once have I ever felt the need to check up on my slaves for what they do isn't my business as long as they get the house clean and prepare my meals. So why? Why does she seem so different?

I finally reach her room and before I have a chance to enter my ears pick up what sounds like whimpers of pain. I'm sure my face contorted a look of sympathy before I hardened my features.

I entered only to find the main part of her room empty. At the sound of another whimper my head automatically darts to the bathroom door. The light shown through her dark room illuminating her queen sized bed that's lightly wrinkled.

I turned my body towards the bathroom and enter only to see her washing off her face in the sink along with many scrapes on her arms.

More and more whimpers escaped her delicate lips as she continued to wash herself from the cuts and scrapes that covered her body. Without realizing, I let out a low growl which, unfortunately, she heard. Her head snapped up quickly as she looked in the mirror, her eyes lingering on my figure for just mere moments.

She quickly grabbed a towel and wiped her face as well as her arms before turning towards me and bowing. "I'm sorry I didn't serve you tonight master, I just figured it wouldn't matter much if I-"

"Who did this to you?" I cut her off.

She paused for a second before standing up straight again, "o-oh, nobody, when I was putting your torture tools away I fell on the concrete and slid."

"Mm...and what about your face."

"Wha- oh...I fell on my face?" She answers in more of a question which gives me all the truth I need.

"Luce if you don't tell me exactly who did this to you-"

"But why does it matter?" She cut me off which made me let out a growl. "Sorry...I just don't see why you care so much. I'm only another slave." She was right. I shouldn't really care at all what happens to her as long as she does what she's told. So why? Why do I feel like I need to protect her?

Lucy's POV
"I just want to know who did it." He says in a softer tone, which was confusing over his normally harsh demeanor. "C'mon Luce."

I don't fail to take notice of the nickname he's given me, but ultimately decide it's not the right time to bring it up, and pause. I didn't want to tell him but did I even have a choice? He basically owns me now. He has the power to do anything he wants with me. Anything he does to me is definitely 100 times worse than what Lisanna can do.

"It...it was lisanna..." I mumble as quietly as I can, although that didn't help much because of his stupid super hearing.

"What?! Why?!" He screams making me flinch.

"I-I don't know." I stutter over my words, mentally begging to get out of this situation.

He let's out a loud growl before storming out of the bathroom and out of my room as I had heard the door slam. I sigh in relief and relax my body, limping over to my bed. I flop onto my back and grab the clock on my bedside table, setting it for 6:00am.

With that I slowly turn onto my side and drift off into a, hopefully peaceful, sleep.

Natsus POV
I stalk down the hall and towards Lisanna's room where I find her about to enter.

"Lisanna!" I shout and watch as her head snaps up towards me. She smiles and walks towards me but as soon as she reaches me I grab her wrist and continue to walk down the hall.

"Uh- Natsu what are you doing?" I don't answer.

We walk until we reach the door to the basement. I forcefully swing it open, almost hitting Lisanna in the face. Almost.

I pull her down the stairs and shove her into one of the cells, locking it and shoving the key into my pocket, making a mental note to break it later.

"Wha- what are you doing this for?!" She screamed, terrified.

"You touched Lucy. You had no right so your facing the consequences."

"What?! B-but she deserved it! She's changing you Natsu can't you see?!"

"What happens between her and I is none of your business! If you ever lay a hand on her again you won't just be thrown in a cell."

"Why do you care anyways?! She's just a stupid slave!" I paused for only mere moments before responding.

"And your not?! Your only here because you did the same thing as her!"

"But I thought I was different! You made me feel different at least."

"Well your not. I'm done talking about this. Don't ever touch Lucy, or anybody else in this castle again do I make myself clear?"

She gives a weak nod.

"Good, though I doubt you'll be able to do that any time soon."

And with that I walk out leaving a crying Lisanna.

As I pass Lucy's room, Lisanna's words ring through my thoughts. She might be changing me, but maybe I need it.
