A Demons Slave (A Nalu Fanfic)

Chapter 6

Lucy's POV
I put the last dish in the dish drain and take off the yellow rubber gloves I was using. Sighing, I set the gloves underneath the sink and head down the hall towards my room.

Once I enter I jump on my bed and stare at the door across the room, wondering the next time I'm gonna see master again.

It's been about a week since the incident with Lisanna and Natsu, and I haven't seen either of them since. Lately I've just been waiting to hear from or even about him.

I do all of my chores, make all of his meals but Virgo brings them to him, basically not giving me a choice. It's like he's purposely avoiding me, which for some reason hurts.

I try to shake off the fact that what he's doing is upsetting me and focus on myself. With him acting like this I have the perfect opportunity to escape, I just don't know when.

I turn onto my back and stare at the ceiling, wondering if I'm ever going to be able to see my friends again. I miss Levy. And Mira, and Gray, and Erza, even Gajeel and the annoying way he calls me bunny girl, and Juvia and even Laxus, even though we don't talk much.

I sigh heavily and wipe away a few stray tears that happened to escape without permission.

Sitting up I decide to explore the castle since Natsu doesn't care much about what I do anymore. I think he sort of trusts me which works out in my favor since I need to escape.

Walking out of my room I take the stroll down the long hallway and into the throne room. There, lo and behold sits a sleeping Natsu on his throne. I receive a sense of déjà vu, and as I look right I see the ginormous double doors that lead to the outside world that I am forbidden to see anymore. Looking to the upper left of the doors I see the small window that led to my first escape. This time, I'm determined to succeed. I just have to wait for the right moment.

I walk toward the right side of Natsu's throne and head toward a door I've never been through before. Upon entering I see a huge indoor pool, and I begin to wonder how he got it installed. It smells strongly of chlorine and I inhale deeply, remembering the scent of going to the pool with Levy and the others. To my left their's a rack of towels folded neatly, and a row of reclining lounge chairs near the edge of the pool. To my right there's a door that leads to the outside and what I believe is a hot tub.

I relish at the thought of being able to swim at the pool with my friends once more. Instead I'm stuck in dreaded tower with nothing to do but cook and clean. My eyes well with tears and I turn to leave the room before my mind can conjure any memories.

After exiting the room I quietly walk around Natsus throne and look on the left side of him, finding yet another door. I peek to my right to make sure he's still asleep before entering through the tall door. I cringe as it squeaks and quickly make my way inside in case he heard.

Upon entering I find a ginormous library. My eyes light up at the sight. I've never seen so many books in my life and I really start to wonder how he got all these here. With him being a frightening, evil demon, it doesn't seem like it would be easy.

In front of me are 5 rows of book shelves completely full of books. Surrounding them is built in books shelves full of books as well. Packed to the top not a single space left for even a small children's book.

My face breaks into a smile and I actually feel joy since I was first brought here. Although it's only been about a week and a half, it feels like I've been here an eternity and more. This library may be my only means of escape until I find a real way, so may as well embrace it.

I start towards the first shelf, but before I can even take one step, I feel a muscular arm wrap around my waist and a large hand fall over my shoulder. My breath catches in my throat. Suddenly I feel warm breath near my ear before I hear the next words that send a shiver down my spine.
