I had a hard sleeping that night. My mind couldn't stop thinking of Alyssa. I cursed and turned on the lights to get my Ipod. Shoving earbuds into my ear, I turned on "Stereo Hearts" and blasted the music. I then I plugged in my Apple Laptop. I went onto Facebook and started talking to a few friends until Alyssa came online. The moment I opened the chat box, she screamed, "MASON GET YOUR BUTT OVER TO MY HOUSE!"
She never cursed.
I typed in, "Why?," but she was already offline. Ok then, better not disappoint her. She transformed from a soft puppy to a ferocious lion when she was angry. All part of her bipolar disorder.
I shut down my computer and turned off the Ipod. Walking to my car, I opened the door to be greeted by a man wearing a trench coat and a fedora.
"Hello," the man said. "We need to talk. Really urgen-"
And he rapidly slid a knife from a hidden wrist holster and slashed at my throat. I swerved and cursed my timing. I was going to be the next Virginia Tech child. I tried to do a cockscrew kick at his gut, but he disappeared. He then came around and stabbed me in the spine. Except, it felt like a prick. I could feel the man's arm loosen in suprise as I spun around, twisting his arm over his head until I heard the shoulder snap. I then disarmed him and pointed the knife at his throat. He smiled and his eyes started to water. The fricking attacker was crying?
And then he started to melt. His skin transformed into rock hard black muscle and his eyes melted off completely. A snout replaced his top lip and nose and the bottom jaw justted forward. Black legs replaced his limbs and a black tail bristled with thorny spikes from the width of a splinter to the width of my leg. I jerked back as it flipped onto all four limbs. And I thought Nicki Minaj was ugly.
It lunged at me with breat taking speed that could set a record for a bullet and slammed me to the ground. The wolf, I will call it a wolf for now, growled and snapped at my face. I dodged and then noticed a fast flowing stream of water coming from the roof. If it was cold enough I bet that wolf's idiocy would freeze with it's-
The water froze and became spear like points that came onto the wolf. One penetrated the muscle and the "thing," let out a yelp. I rushed into the living room and grabbed my dad's shotgun off the wall. I double tapped: a bullet into the head, then a bullet into its heart. Blood drained from the wounds but the bullets just fell out.
I cursed.
I slammed the but of the gun onto the wolf's medulla with enough force to kill and it slumped to the ground in a pool of blood. I poked it with the gun then felt it's heart beat. Yep, it was just in a coma. I looked for my dad's machete, and upon finding it, slew the beats by beheading it. The head fell onto the flood and rolled, brain matter spewing onto teh rug. The tound diconected from it's mouth and fell out along with it's snot.
And only then I started to question what the heck that thing was. Yeah, and people say I have a high IQ.
I looked at it with pure hatred. For all I knew, the thing kill while the head was chopped off. So I left it there.
I went into the kitchen and put some tea in the kettle. Putting a cooking glove on, I took the whole kettle and slammed it against the wolf's head. It deserved to have its skin burned. Like it will burn in Hell.
I got into my 2012 Mustang and drove off towards Alyssa's house.

Apparently she saw a spider.
After I seddled in, we chatted about what happened at my house. Thats when she revealed to me the Black Journal. In normal circumstances, I would think the journal to be a fiction under normal circumstances, but these are not normal circumstances. I read the part where it said we had to be in love. My response was negative. I really didn't want to date a girl after what my last one did to me. She locked me in the broom closet for a whole two days with no food or water. Now thats scarring, and that was all because she wanted to always be with me.
And when she said I have to be with her, I started to freak.
"Why do I have to fall in love with you, Aly? We're just friends. Nothing more." Those few words made me feel like I was lying to myself. And I had very little doubt that I was. And, to top it off, Alyssa started to cry. Great job Mason, you made your only real friend cry.
Apparently she thought differently about the idea of us loving eachother beyound the steel wall of friendship. That steel wall that was hard to penetrate.
I came over to comfort her, but she told me she just needed some time and walked up to her room. Wow, I should get a career peeving people off if I can do it that well. Note the sarcasm.
I sat there feeling guilty. Her sobs were audible from even down here, and I could tell that I was going to be screwed after wards. So I decided something that might just take my life: walk into her room. At least it was to comfort her. Thats what friends do.
I stumbled up the stairs to her room. I knocked, the sobbing paused, then stopped. There was no answer, and I prayed to God that she wouldn't tear me apart.
I opened the door.
Alyssa was sitting on her bed with just a bra and jeans. And yes, to all of you perverts, crying does make you upset to the point where you feel hot. Her head was between her knees and she was sitting on a rose colored bed that matched her walls, which was a professionly painted rose garden. Her floor was red carpet and her curtains were green. Wow this girl was rich. And liked flowers.
"Alyssa?" I asked softly. I laid a hand on her back, which was burning up. She said one, singular word.
"Astral."
"What?" I asked, confused.
I felt like a train just hit me at full force and my eyes became blotchy. I was flown backwards and lay on the ground, unconsious.
