Lost In Manhattan

Chapter X: Telly

37 minutes later. Shelly, her dad and Tim were finally able to go to the penthouse for the rest of the night. It's 3:02am.
In the penthouse:
Shelly's dad- "Ok, I'm gonna go down stairs real quick, be right back. Make yourself at home. Just don't go into my office right there."

Shelly- "Dad, I can't believe you live here. How did you become an inventor?"

Shelly's dad- "How about you let me go down stairs real quick and I'll tell ya, Ok?"

Shelly- "Ok."

Shelly's dad closes the door, locks it and leaves. Shelly looks behind her at Tim.

Tim- "Hey, we made it (With excitement)."

Shelly- *Giggles* "We did, didn't we?" (Sarcastically and grins)

Shelly touches her blonde hair and smiles at Tim looking hot. He smiles back.

Shelly- "So. Wanna sit?"

Tim- "Here? (Points at the dining table)"

Shelly- "Sure."

They both sit down. Shelly sits on the chair on the right side where Tim is sitting. They look at each other.

Shelly- "Sooo."

Tim- "Sooo."

Shelly- "You never told me about your high school life."

Tim- "I kinda did."

Shelly- "But it was not what I wanted to hear."

Tim- "You too. You didn't tell me about your high school life."

They both giggle together.

Shelly- "Okay. You go first."

Tim- "Alright. Um..."

Shelly- "Did you have alot of friends?"

Tim- "No. Not alot. I spoke to people, but all of my best friends were in middle school. We were in a group. Until we got separated, but then I made atleast some friends but they were rarely in the same periods I had. How 'bout you?"

Shelly- "I followed my middle school friends through high school."

Tim- "Lucky."

Shelly- "Do you have a girlfriend?"

Tim- "No. I'm single."

Shelly- "Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

Tim- "......No. No I haven't."

Shelly- "Wow. That's sad."

Tim- "I felt so miserable during high school. Do you have a boyfriend?"

Shelly- "Oh Tim. I had lots of boyfriends. Believe it or not. Almost every guy at my school liked me. But I'm single right now."

They continued laughing together.

Shelly- "So you don't know what it's like to kiss a girl?"

Tim- "Yeah... And I gotta be honest. I do wish I had a girlfriend like my friends from Kentucky so I don't feel miserable. You know what I mean?"

Shelly touches Tim's hand.

Shelly- "I know exactly what you mean."

Tim- "Can you teach me how I can get a girl?"

They stared at each other and Shelly got closer to Tim's face.

Shelly- "I don't have to teach you Tim... Because I knew you wanted me from the start (whispers)."

They both close their eyes and they kissed. While kissing, Tim opens his eyes, and starts remembering the whole night with Shelly in fast forward motion. They stopped kissing after and Shelly opens her eyes again. Tim looks into Shelly's eyes and she does the same thing with his eyes.

Tim- "Wow, that was... Amazing."

Shelly- "Tim, it was just a kiss. (Smiles right after)"

Tim- "No, it was so much better than I expected."

Shelly- "Huh?"

Tim- "Sorry, I can't explain it right... Do you mind if uh... We do it again?"

Shelly- "Kiss again?"

Tim- "I mean, it's up to you. If you want. (Shy)"

Shelly- "Fine, ok."

They kiss again for about 3 seconds.

Tim- "You're beautiful."

They both smiled at each other. Shelly's dad suddenly opens the door with a box full of electronic parts in his hand. Shelly and Tim immediately look at him like nothing happened.

Shelly's dad- "Did I miss anything?"

Shelly- "No. Not at all."

Tim- "We're just bored."

Shelly's dad- "Why don't you two go to bed. Shelly, there's a guest room across the hall upstairs, and Tim... You can sleep in the other guest room. And just so you know, I called an uber to pick you up tomorrow and take you back to the airport. Here's your plane ticket."

He gives Tim the plane ticket.

Tim- "Thank you again Mr. Meyeres."

Shelly's dad- "Don't mention it."

Shelly's dad walks away into his office and closes the door. Shelly and Tim go into the hallway.

Shelly- "Tim."

Tim- "Yes Shelly?"

Shelly- "Because you're leaving in the morning, will I still see you again?"

Tim- "I don't know. But because we just kissed, that just makes me not want to lose you."

As they got a little emotional, Shelly hugs Tim. As they were hugging:
Shelly- "Thank you for being there for me."

Tim- "You're welcome... Thank you for doing the same."

Shelly- "You're welcome."
