"Why did you kiss her?"
"She kissed me. You could say we have a brief past"
"So you dated?." Patricia asked an eerily calm voice. "Well, not exactly" Eddie said shifting under her stern glare. "What was it then? Friends? Best friends? Special friends?"
"I- we, well-"
"I think it's time we tell the truth Edison" Brooke says smugly as she walks into the room. "I've still not forgiven you" Patricia hissed in her direction before turning back to a pale Eddie. "So?" she prompted when neither made an effort to explain. "Okay. I'll tell you. No secrets, right?" he says hoping to trigger her soft side. "Let's get it over with but be quick because Amber will want to know early on if she has to cancel a wedding"
12 hours earlier
"I've made breakfast if you want any B" Patricia says as everyone else follows her into the kitchen to get their own food. "Yeah, okay. I just want to get my bags upstairs." Brooke yells to her before turning to Eddie. "Help me?" she says sweetly to which he reluctantly just nods.
As soon as he enters her room she slams the door shut behind him. "Brooke!" he exclaims startled by her actions. "We need to talk" she says seriously.
"That's too bad" I say smirking.
"Why?"
"Because I have nothing to say"
"Well I do"
"Well I don't want to listen"
"Fine! Let's just go for breakfast" she quickly walks to the door. "but make no mistake, this conversation will take place."

Eddies POV
"I must say, Alex is adorable, Ambs" Brooke gushed with a sick smile. "So was Jennifer when she was younger, she's blossomed beautifully" Amber says pointedly with sarcasm as she feeds Alex spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream. "When is Jennifer coming?" Patricia asked from my side. "Tomorrow. I'll go and get the lemonade. Be right back" she quickly hurries inside. For some reason I feel like that isn't a conversation she wanted to endure. I quickly mutter something about needing to use the restroom before going inside. "You seemed uncomfortable talking about Jennifer" I remarked, slinging into a nearby chair. "Her name is Jenny and I wasn't uncomfortable" she replied stiffly. "Who is she anyway?"
"My daughter"
4 hours earlier
"How old is Jenny?" I asked nervously as Patricia was putting her eyeliner on. "4 turning 5 in August. Why?" she replies distractedly. I silently gulp. "No reason."
"Can you go and get my curler from Brooke?"
"Yeah, sure."
I hastily knock on her door hoping to avoid an actual conversation. "Edison, short time no see" she says with a smirk. "That kind of doesn't make sense" I say. "I don't care. What do you want anyway? You wouldn't be here willingly."
"In Paris? I'm getting married. In this villa? Amber arranged for us to stay here. Outside the guest room? Collecting my fiancés curlers. So-hand them over. Please" I say not even bothering to mask my sarcasm. "I see you haven't lost your charm and humorous wit" she quips smartly. "Patricia doesn't need to know about that summer" I say steadily.
"No, she doesn't but for some reason I take great pleasure in your blatant discomfort."
"I was drunk for most of that summer. I only know what you told me after I had sobered up. Who knows what you made up about it"
"I told you nothing but the truth"
"That's a lie and you know it"
"I did have feelings for you"
"I did not return them" I say as she leans in. "Really? Is that a promise?" she quickly pulls my face down so that her lips are on mine.
"Eddie? Brooke?" the voice sounds broken. I push Brooke off of me as quickly as I can before turning, full of regret, to Patricia. "What-why-Brooke?" she stumbles over her words.
"Let's just get to the restraunt. This conversation can be delayed for a couple hours" she says devoid of emotion before heading downstairs.

"We've met before. I mean, we hung out one summer. I was drunk for most of it and I barely remember much but I remember most of my time with Brooke 'cause she was the one that got me to sober up" Eddie starts before Brooke, unhelpfully, cuts in. "I was light in his life"
"Shut up" Patricia snaps. "Continue"
"Well we met in this bar and she was wearing this blue top-"
"It was red"
"No, it was blue. I remember."
"Red" Brooke insisted.
"Blue" Eddie said forcefully.
"Red"
"Blue"
"R-"
"I don't care! What colour her top was" Patricia cut in.Eddie sighed before continuing. "We spent the rest of the summer hanging out....As friends and well one night we were drinking and in our state we confessed to having feelings for each other and after we became a couple for awhile until she suddenly just disappeared and then returned 4 months later and she-"
"I was pregnant." Brooke stated bluntly, bored of how long Eddie was taking.
