'Okay, okay,' I heard Tony hum like an enthusiastic child, 'I've like, always wanted a moonlight ninja fight beach party.'

It was at times like this that I doubted the durability of our marriage. I wished mighty hard to strangle that neck of his underneath the armour, but the lord wasn't so inflicting. He had made us face-off with twenty, immensely trained and deadly, biohack ninjas on a beautiful beach in Cali. The seas were roaring on that ominous night, crashing stronger and bolder than the last. No one of us could walk away from this. Not even the waves.

'Where are the paparazzi when you need 'em, right?'

First of all, I couldn't fight to save myself and Tony seemed negligent to the concept of escape. All my thoughts circulated in making Margo an orphan tonight since our extinction seemed imminent. Whatever wondrous defence systems this improved, materializing Maiden suit had been equipped better be worth it or we were leaving this place no less than dead.

'Mrs Stark, their sword tech is not something I can identify on any federal law enforcement, Interpol or SHIELD servers,' HELEN stated. 'That means its never been confiscated and they work under secure, interconnected cybernetic web-interface which could make sense because I am unable to eavesdrop into their systems.'

'That's extremely insufficient intel,' I murmured.

We were going to die, we were going to die, we were -

'Honey,' I looked to him, knowing I had voiced my thoughts out loud. I wished I could see his assertive face under the face mask but soon, his words were enough. I let out a sharp exhale and nodding along while invoking all the hope in me. Hopefully, we make it out alive. For once, being a coward seemed like the safer way out.

'You and me, okay? We got this.'

I gulped and nodded again.

'JARVIS,' I heard him say breathily, 'activate Jesus Take The Wheel protocol in Maiden II.'

'What in the—'

The nanites that were comprised in the suit effectively shifted, adopting a more muscular design around me and building in size. It materialized around my hand-held repulsors, forming to cutlasses, hand-blades, with the particles and tough gauntlet-like shields clamping itself down over my arms. To reinforce protection, I saw another layer of nanoparticles coagulate over the initial muscle-mechanical structure and forming tougher pads of durable panels over the chest and thighs. The armour led my body forward fluidly, dipping down to a battle stance.
