Chapter 7: Acceptance

~WINTERS POV~

I was more than disappointed when I heard that Weiss had been arrested, in fact, I was disgusted, she had attempted to murder her ex boyfriend and actually murdered her current one.

I didn't even want to look at my sister, but I decided to try to figure out why she did it. Ironwood had actually told me that all evidence pointed it to being her, so there was really no way for her to be innocent, they had found her Scroll in the emerald forest, they found that she was the last person to talk to or see him, the time of the last message was mere minutes before his death.

I can't believe I'm going to say it, but I truly believe my sister is guilty.

I went to Atlas prison in order to talk to her. I was wearing more casual clothing, rather than my Atlas uniform. I went into the prison and immediately ordered to speak to Weiss.

I sat down at an empty booth and waited for my own flesh and blood to come up to the opposite side.

Only problem was, she did. She came up to the booth with her hair down, no makeup, an orange jumpsuit. She looked like she deserved to look.

She picked up the phone very quickly, I did it at my own pace.

"Winter! You have to get me out of here! I don't deserve to be here! I never did anything wrong!" She told me, I wasn't interested in excuses.

"I'm not interested Weiss. I didn't even want to see you, but I wanted answers. If you don't give them to me, then I'm afraid that I won't be returning to speak to you." I told her, she looked like she was about to cry.

"Winter, I can promise you, I never did anything, I didn't kill Neptune, I promise..." She told me, I could tell she was lying, so I just put the phone back on it's little handle.

"Goodbye Weiss." I told her, knowing she wouldn't be able to hear me through the glass, I saw she was fully crying now and tried hitting the glass, but got carried away by guards.

I went to a guard near the exit.

"Give me her weapon." I told him. He nodded and walked away for about half a minute, then came back with Weiss' Rapier. I took it from him, then walked out.

On my way back to my home, I bumped into someone, I was wearing high heels, so I almost fell, but he caught me by the wrist.

"Uh, Sorry." I heard a voice say, I looked and was...immediately entranced, he was quite attractive, shoulder length black hair, violet eyes, a small beard, an open jacket with the collar sticking up.

"N-No, it's my fault, I wasn't looking ahead of myself." I told him, straightening myself up. I noticed that he was just shorter than I was with heels on.

"Is that...is that Weiss Schnees weapon?" He asked, pointing to the ground, I looked and saw that I had dropped it.

"Uh, Yes it is, why? Do you know her?" I asked while picking it up, he nodded.

"My Name is Chase. Chase Morpheus." He told me, I went wide eyed at that. The ex Boyfriend Weiss tried to kill.

"R-Right...I'm W-" I began before he finished for me.

"Winter Schnee, I know, Weiss used to talk about you a lot." He told me, I wasn't that surprised at that one.

"She always was fond of me." I told him, he smiled, and I knew that when I saw that smile, it was love at first sight.

"What happened with you and my sister?" I asked him, his smile kind of faded away, but I could still see it.

"It's not something I like to talk about often. Takes me to a place I don't like to go back to." He told me, so I decided to...make a move.
