My Xbox Friend

Chapter 13

I ran into my house and sat down and i realized i hadn't been to school in three days but you know who cares , I could just tell  Ms Presley every thing that happened and she could understand. But if she doesn't understand, it wont hurt me if I get held back. Maybe shell let me do extra work.  I took my phone out my back pocket and dialed Nathans phone number.  it rang three times and then he picked up.

''Hi Sadie,i see you read the note.'' Nathan said.

''Yea i did, but could you hurry up i have a Xbox party to attend to .'' i lie.

''Oh xbox, i used to play and i kinda still do but i wont hold you up, i just wanted to let you know that that whole note was a fake . i wrote it because i wanted to give you my number.'' He explained.

''Oh well i gotta go.'' i hung up. I wasn't trying to be rude but i think boys are annoying and tricky and I'm not really wanting that right now or any time in my life. Sorry.  i put my phone in my back pocket then ii heard a knock at the door. i got up and opened it.

''So when were you deciding to come back to school?"

''Amy!'' i said sarcastically.

She stepped inside and threw her bag on the floor and set a big piece of paper on the table. Then she sat down.

''You know Ms. Presley was wondering where you were all week and you know projects are due on Monday. so we have to get to work.'' Amy explained.

"Did you even start drawing the lipstick tube yet ?'' i ask.

''yea like the stick part.''

''Well i have an idea. Lets draw the tube part with lots of designs. like stars and ... hearts and stuff like that.''

''Excuse me but did Sadie Washington just say hearts, looks like somebody likes some body likes somebody else. Who is he?''

'' Just because i said hearts doesn't mean i like someone, I'm a tomboy.'' There was a huge pause after i said that. Amy was looking at me like i know you like somebody. But why would i tell her , i think she still might hate my guts and she could be putting on this act just to get on my good side. I took a deep breath.

''Um his names Nathan , he lives down the street. Hes Claudia's sister. but i don't necessarily like him.'' i explain.

''Sadie and Nathan sitting in a tree...''

''Dont you dare say it!'' i put my hand over my mouth and then she removed it.

''K-i-s-s-i-n-g.''

''I will kill you, i don't like him.'' i said.

''Sure you don't. Just start drawing the designs on the tube.''.

i started drawing little squiggles and line. Then i drew a rose and  flowers. Don't ask me why flowers because this flower drawing doesn't count as  being a girly girl.

''Amy, i don't know if ill make it to school on Monday because my moms in the hospital and so is Jessica, Well Jessica is suppose to come out today and  I  think I'm suppose to..'' My phone rang.

''Hello.'' i said.

''Its Jessica, I'm coming out today , can you come get me?''

''Sure be there soon.'' i hung up and put the phone back in my pocket. my phone likes it there.

''That was Jessica now. I have to go now and so do you so i guess ill see you on Monday. ill most likely be there.'' i told her.  i practically through everything in Amy's hands and  pushed her out the door. The i grabbed my keys and headed for the door.
