Chapter 20

"Nothing, I'm not gonna do anything.  I'm leaving. " Jessica said and ran upstairs and grabbed her bags.

"Good,.I guess I'll be better by myself like I was before. "I said.

She can back downstairs with a bag in each hand and ran to The door and left.  I was now sitting down On The couch . WELL every thing is back to normal my conscious said.  I guess at least I still have Claudia.  Just then I heard a knock On The door.  I jumped up and opened The door.

"Hey can I come in? " it was Claudia.

"Sure. " I opened The door all The way For her to walk in.  Then I slammed down On The couch. And She did The same.

''' i have to tell you something.'' she started,

''shoot.'' i said.

''well you know how i skipped a few grades and they said I'm already qualified for college.''

''no i didn't know about that.''

''well its true and the college that i applied to they accepted me and i leave tomorrow.''

Did she just say that she is leaving for college tomorrow? and then Jessica just walked out on me! oh this is just so awesome.

''Really Claudia , you cant leave me, your the only friend i ever have now." i plead.

''its OK you wont be alone Nathan is flying back in next week because him and and his mom are moving down here.''

Wow.''i don't wanna have Nathan, are they moving into your house with your mom?'

'' unfortunately for you,yes.'' oh man how could this get any worse. i  got up off the chair and ran upstairs to my room.

'' how are you just gonna leave me down here!''

''you can go now your already leaving.!'' i yelled from upstairs.

'' well i was hoping we could go out for dinner before the day i leave!''

I sat on my bed and thought about it. why does she have to be so smart and go to college. why cant i be so smart and go to college? why am i asking myself so many questions? '' OK ill get my stuff!''

i ran back downstairs and grabbed my keys off the living room table and headed for the door and Claudia followed. we walked outside to my moms car and she got in on the passengers and i got in on the drivers .

''Where do you want to?'

''how about apple bees?''

''Sure! to apple bees!''

i put the car in ignition and put both hand on the steering wheel and started to drive. while driving Claudia turned on the radio and paramore came on singing ain't it fun. uh and i hate that song. one thing me and Claudia don't have in common is music. well i guess we don't have music in common, paramore is just really stupid.

''Can you turn that off , i hate paramore, the main girl that sings is just crazy with all her hair color changes.''

''come on i love paramore.'' she said and turned it up loud and singing along.'' ain't it fun , living in the real world.''and then stopped.

the song went'':Ain't it fun living in the real world, ain't it good being all alone.'' That doesn't make any sense to me why does it say ain't it fun living in the real world and being alone. being alone isn't fun. Trust me i know.

We pulled into the parking lot of apple bees. Claudia got out and i grabbed the keys out of the key slot in the car and locked the car. We walked inside and i was happy there was no line because i really didn't want to wait to be seated. we walked to the podium.

''WE would like a table for two.'' i said.

''how old are you guys.''

''Im sixteen and shes....''

''I'm 15.'' Claudia finished.

''OK right this way.'' the lady got up off her stool and leaded us to a booth near a right wall and we could see the fountain with pennies in it.

''This is a good view.!''

''Why yes it is.''  i said in my horrible British accent and then we busted out laughing. ''what do want to order?" i continued.

Claudia picked up her menu and flipped through the pages. and then she stayed on one page for a long time.

''i think i will have uh ribs and fries, since I've never like been here without a parent.''

''I'm having the same because that's what i always get.''

''Good.'' she said.

''But anyway why do you have to leave Claudia?"

'' I'm sorry but his is a great opportunity and i would be a total idiot to pass this up. i mean if you got offered a scholarship for college would you turn it down?'' she explained.

''No.''

'' And its crazy i don't even know where I'm going yet there just sending a limo and it will be a surprise. so if I'm not satisfied maybe i can come back.'' she said and poked my nose.

Suddenly the waiter showed up with a pad and one hand and a pen in the other . he had on the apple bees uniform and he wore glasses.

''Can i take your order?"

''We will both have ribs and fries.'' i say.

''OK so two ribs and fries platters. Anything else? like drinks?''

''Oh a sprite for me.'' i say. I'm a sprite lover.

''And a fruit punch for me.''claudia says.

''Ok your order should be ready momentarily." he said and walked away in the back to the kitchen.

Morning..

Claudia and i were standing outside early in the morning waiting for her limo to come to pick us up. no matter how bad i didn't want her to go i still supported her through this whole thing.

'' oh i think that's it.'' Claudia said.

Good because i was really tired why would a regular person like me who sleeps late everyday wanna be be up 7:00 outside? but I'm a good friend so i can get sleep later.

''yep it is it. i guess this is good bye . even though we haven't hung out allot and i rejected you the first time you wanted to chill i will still miss like we have been friends for a long time.'' i say.

'' i will miss you too.'' her limo pulled up to the front of my house and the chauffeur got out and opened the door for her. she stepped in side and rolled her window down and waved good bye as the limo pulled off.

im soooooooooooooooooo sorry im so lazy and when i did try to update i had a little writers block. i couldnt think off anything.
