Chapter 12

"Duh duh duh duhhhh" I sang skipping up the stairs to the kitchen. I had just woken up and taken my medicine.
"Somebody's happy today" Luke said from the table.
"Oh yes. Wait what day is it" I said opening the fridge
"Sunday" Calum said. I spit out the water that I was thinking about swallowing.
"I slept for that long" I said looking at the time on the microwave. 11:45.
"That's what ya get for not sleeping" Ashton said raking his hand through his curly hair.
"True. Hey I'm going surfing who wants to come?" I said putting down the water bottle and shoving a bagel in the toaster.
"I can't surf" Calum and Mikey said at the same time.
"Oh actually... No that'll be a zoo on a Saturday" I said chewing on my lip.
"What"
"Well we could either go to the beach Ryan works at or we could just go in the backyard." I said hopping up on the counter and staring outside into the waves.
"Let's just go out there" Luke said.
"Kay. Lemme go change" I said hopping off the counter and limping down the stairs to my room. I threw on a bikini. Ah what the heck I'm going surfing anyways. I pulled my wetsuit up to my waist and let my hair fall down my back. I walked down the hall to the garage grabbing my board that was just propped up against the wall. I walked outside, the sand was warm beneath my feet.
"Come on boys" I said yelling up to the boys that were watching me from the balcony. Most girls would be freaking out if their favorite band was watching them from the balcony of their house shirtless. Me? Nah. Growing up in Southern California I was so used to the unknown. Plus these boys were family so doesn't matter. I put down my board and zipped the rest of my wet suit up.
"Race you" Luke said taking off past me to the water.
"Never!" Calum screamed running after him. I mean he doesn't want to race yet he's racing. Humans confuse me. I grabbed my board and limped towards the water. My leg barely hurt anymore. I pushed myself into the waves paddling out. It wasn't to exciting today at all. That's ok though. I sat up on my board, my legs dangling into the clear blue water. Nothing big was coming, like at all. I sighed and started to paddle back to the shore where the boys were.
"You givin up?" Luke said as I sat on my board where the guys were splashing each other and doing the other typical boy activities.
"For now. I couldn't see anything out there. I shoulda checked before we came out" I said regaining my siting position.
"What about that one" ash said nodding towards the distance. I turned my board around. Sure enough, in the distance there was a huge wave forming. I swiftly flipping back onto my stomach and paddled as fast and hard as I could out to the wave. I turned around just in time to jump up and shred the wave. I felt it's presence underneath me as my body took control. I flipped off the wave and then I was in the water. I came up smiling like an idiot. The boys were cheering. I was cheering. This is the feeling I live for. The feeling of flying. The feeling of the water engulfing you in some kind of a hug. I got back up on my board and paddled to the boys.
"You're welcome" Ash said with his 'award winning smile'
"That felt so good" I said sitting up and then proceeding to fall off the board backwards.
"I'm hungry" Michael said.
"Of course you are. Come on we have to have something in the fridge." I said making my way back to the beach, the boys behind me. I propped my surf board back up against the wall and walked up the stairs and down the hall to my room. I locked the door and grabbed a muscle crop top that said, brace yourself because the relatibility is off the charts, '5 Sauce' I pulled on a pair of short shorts from A&Fitch and my red converse hightops. Before I left my room I grabbed my 'Killin It' SnapBack and my usual assortment of bracelets. I don't do anything, go anywhere, without bracelets. I snapped a new case on my phone that said '1 drummer, 2 teams, 3 guitars, 5 seconds' I took one last look at my poster plastered walls and then shut the door.
"Saylor, I'm home" I heard my mom yell the door shutting behind her.
"The boys are in the kitchen. I'll be right up" I said turning and walking down the hall. I stopped and then slowly extended my hand to the doorknob and slowly turned. The door squeaked and swung open. I took a step into my sisters room. Nothing had changed. I wasn't gonna cry. I couldn't cry. I narrowed my eyes at her desk where her MacBook still lay, open. On top of the keyboard was her iPad. I walked over to it and pressed the home button surprisingly there was still charge in it. Her home screen was another picture of us with Nash and Cam. I sighed and grabbed the cord, plugging it into the socket.
"I know it's eery in here isn't it" a voice said behind me. I turned around to face my mom. I could see the pain in her worry lines she didn't have a few months ago.
"Y-yeah. Mom I'm fine. Let's go eat" I choked out and walked back towards the door. She wrapped her arms around me and kissed the top of my head.
"I was thinking, when you're ready of course, that we could maybe change this into you're filming room. It's what she would've wanted" my mom said into my hair. I stood there thinking about it.
"Ok" I said meekly.
"Wait really?" She said pulling back.
"Yeah. That'd be cool" I said. I'd do it for my mom who does so much to try and make me happy.
"Oh I love you. Now come on. I went to the store and got a bunch of food"
"You always know what to say" I said skipping up stairs to the kitchen where the boys were all eating chips and subway.
"It's on the counter" my mom said walking up the steps behind me.
"Where's Toby" I said hopping up on the counter and digging into my sandwich.
"Somewhere around here" my mom said leaning against the counter and crossing her arms looking at me.
"What" I said through a mouth full of food.
"How would you feel about getting another dog" she said. I spit out the food on the ground my mouth forming into a smile.
"I think that, ID LOVE A NEW DOG" I screamed jumping up on the counter and spinning around.
"Haha ok. We can go later when Ryan gets home" she said.
"Yesssss" I said hopping down from the counter and hugging her. I pulled away and grabbed my phone to text Kaley.

OMG my mom just told me we were getting a new dog

I'm not supposed to be texted you. We were all banned from talking to you while we're on tour.
Me:
What! That's totally not fair. Whatever I have my boys to hang with

Your boys? Oh gtg. YOURE EXPLAINING LATER
I rolled my eyes and threw my phone onto the counter. I groaned putting my head in my hands.
"Oh saylor. Don't worry about what ever's going on" Luke said wrapping his arms around my waist.
"You don't get it Lukey. They're not even aloud to talk to me. Do you know how hard that is? Not being able to talk to your best friends? It sucks and I'm tired of it" I said brushing my fingers through my hair.
"You're right. I don't know. But I do know that your friends won't be able to stay away from you for long" he said patting my head and then sitting on the counter next to me.
"Why don't we make a video" ash suggested.
"Ooh that reminds me. How do you guys feel about having a 5 Seconds of Summer week on my channel. I'll explain. First day which will be tomorrow I think, we'll do a Q&A. Then we can do separate videos with each of you. And then we'll finish it off with something else. Please say you guys will do it. Pllllllllllleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeee" I said, my face lighting up.
"Sounds good to me" Calum said popping a grape in his mouth.
"Yeah but everything sounds good to you" I said.
"That'd be cool" Luke said.
"I'm all for it" Mikey said.
"Ash?"
"I call Thursday video. I call it. Thursday is MY day" ash declared.
"Yayyyyyyy. Hey I wanna show you guys the band room" I said grabbing my guitar that lay on the kitchen island. We all made our way down stairs all the way down the hall to the band room. It was behind a black curtain at the end of the hall. I swung it open and opened my arms like a presenter.
"Tada"
"Whoa this is so legit" ash said running to the drums. We had a few guitars, a drum set, the piano, a tv with the wii attached to it, and strobe lights. Oh and the giant speakers and stereo systems.
"Where did you get all this stuff" Calum said picking up the bass.
"My dad was really into music. He taught me how to play the drums and stuff. But it was Lukey over here who taught me how to play the guitar"
"You know I hate it when you call me that" he said pushing me.
"Maybe we could do a cover or song of the ep today and then the Q&A tomorrow?" I said plopping down on one of the couches.
"Ok" was all I got from them.
"Well then I'll go get my camera" I said hopping up and running upstairs. Everything was still packed in my suitcase. I unzipped it and grabbed my camera and tripod which lay on the top.
"Ok what song are you doing" I said setting it up my camera.
"We were thinking you could sing with us"
"HAHAHA NO" I said.
"What why not" Luke said tuning his guitar.
"Because you guys are on your way to being the... No what never mind. I can't do it. I'll do the intro though" I said making sure the camera angle was right.
"Ahhhh come on saylor" Calum said.
"Maybe another video" I said tucking my hair behind my ear and readjusting my hat.
"Ready" I said looking back at them. They all nodded and I turned on my camera.
"Heyyyyyyy guys. Today I am at home actually. Anyways I have some very special guests for the next to weeks before they head off to Los Angeles to write their first studio album. They will be performing a song of they're brand new EP She Looks So Perfect that doesn't come out for another week in the U.S. So please say hey-y to 5 Seconds of Summer I trust that you're all clapping out there. Anyways 5 Seconds of Summer" I said getting out of the shot.
"Oh should we start now" Luke said.
"Ohmygod" I said face palming.

"That was so fetch" I said coming into the shot again.
"Oh ma god that movie is my movie girl" Luke said.
"Come on ash" I said motioning to her.
"I'm probably gonna edit all of this out. That's cool tough. I mean usually I just stare at the camera for like 10 minutes"
"Ok then" Luke said.
"Ok let's start over" I said shaking it out.
"Welcome to 5 Seconds of Summer week on my channel. Yayyyyyy" I cheered.
"Yayyyyy" the boys cheered.
"Yayy" Toby said running down the stairs.
"Well now it's just a party" I said wrapping my arms around Toby's little torso.
"Explain to me Saylor, what is 5 Seconds of Summer?" Mikey said.
"That's a great question my dear Mikey. 5 Seconds of Summer week is when you get to hang out with your favorite youtuber and 5sos"
"I didn't know we were going to be on O2L's channel" ash said.
"Haha that's very funny Ash. Now I know many of you, more like all of you don't consider me a YouTuber. I understand but I'm gonna work more on expanding my YouTube and see what opportunities come knocking. Anyways back to 5sos week. Tomorrow I will be back here asking the boys your questions. That's right folks it's a Q&A video with the legendary 5 Seconds of Summer" I said. The boys cheered again.
"Yes I know very exciting. So today I want you to tweet out to me #5sosQ&Awithsaylor. Let's get that trending. Go ahead. I'm not stopping you" I said.
"Hold on" Calum said pulling out his phone.
"Toby you wanna say bye bye for me" I said looking down at my brother.
"Bye bye" he said and turned to me, burring his head in my stomach.
"Well there ya have it folks. Get tweeting and we will see you tomorrow. Byeeeee" I said covering the lens and turning off my camera.
"That was fun" the boys said.
"I have to edit. You want to watch a movie" I said letting go of Toby and taking my camera off the tripod.
"Ooh I doooo" Calum said skipping down the hall to the theater.
"You guys can choose. I'm gonna go get my laptop" I said taking down my tripod and walking up the stairs to my room. I grabbed my MacBook and the camera cord then went back down stairs. Toby was sitting on Luke's lap choosing a movie. We could watch whatever we want. Toby would be out like a light.
"Hey" ash said as I sat down next to him
"Hola" I said opening iMovie and plugging in my camera.
"How long does it typically take" he whispered.
"Depends. If there's anything like huge to edit out then it obviously takes longer but ya know if it's something like today there's only a few things I have to add and take out"
"It's funny. People always think that you just film a video and post it but it takes so much" he said.
"Thank you for understanding my struggles" I said glancing at him.
"Any time. Any time" he said giggling. I added some text and took out some parts from the beginning and that last part. Finally I was done and I had added and title and caption. I posted the video and quietly closed my laptop.
"You guys can tweet out that hashtag now. Oh and you can change the movie if you want. Toby's out" I said grabbing my phone and tweeting.

I put down my phone and looked up at the huge screen.
"Guys. Toby's asleep. Really you can change it" I said looking over at Cars.
"Shhhhh this is the best part" Calum said. I glanced over at they're intent faces. I smirked and got up form my seat.
"Where're you goin" ash said.
"To go put this stuff away. I mean I've seen Cars so much in the last year I can quote it like Mean Girls" he snorted and looking back up at the screen. I rolled my eyes and trekked back up the stairs and put my stuff on my bed. I bit my lip and looked around my room. I walked back out of my room and down the hall back to Skylar's. I guess I'm finding myself here a lot today. I opened the door and stepped into the cool room. Why is it cool in here? I licked my lips and pulled out her comfy swivel chair. I kept my hand on the back of the chair and looked around. It was hard being back.
"Hey Sky. I know you're listening right now. I know you're up there with daddy looking down. Say hi to him for me. I miss you like hell. It cuts like a blade how much I miss you. I know you're here. I know that you can hear me. I can feel you here. I miss you. I love you. I've always loved you" I said chewing on my lip. Then I felt a cool breeze on my arms. The window wasn't open and the AC wasn't on. It was Skylar. I know. I sighed and grabbed her iPad off her desk. Taking one last look at the room, I closed the door behind me and padded back down stairs. Toby was still sprawled out across Luke's lap. It was kinda cute. I sat back down next to ash again and turned on the iPad. I opened up twitter. It was creepy being on her account. Ash glanced down at the screen and wrapped his arm around my pulling me closer.
"Ah saylor" he whispered to me rubbing my arm. I scrolled through her mentions. People were still saying how much they missed her. I was biting my lip so hard if had started to bleed.
"Saylor it's not good for you" he said pulled the iPad out of my hands and putting it on the couch next to him. I licked my bleeding lip and focused on my lap. I kissed my head and took his arm back. Why did this hurt so much. Why.
"Go sit with Luke" ash whispered into my ear again patting my back. I nodded but continued to stare at my lap.
"I'm not gonna says it's ok. Or you're going to be ok because I know who hard it is to hear that. I get it." He said again. (A/n ok guys this next part was based off a rumor that I saw on the internet about ash. Don't hate me because it's probably not true. Just go along with it. It's just a rumor) I drew in a shaky breath and stood up to go sit with my cousin. I sat down next to Luke who looked at me confused. He saw the look on my face and immediately wrapped his arm around me pulling him into his chest. I wasn't gonna cry. I couldn't cry. Not anymore.
"I miss her too." He said. He could read me like a book. That's why I loved him so much. I rested my head on his chest sucking on my lip. My head was right next to Toby's at this point. Luke was running his hand through my hair.
"I need to go talk to my mom" I said getting up in a daze.
"Ok" he said looking concerned but he let me go. I stared down watching my feet go all the way upstairs to my mom in the kitchen, where she sat looking at her laptop.
"Hey say. What's up"
"Mommy?"
"Yeah" she said looking up at me.
"I want to go see her" I said.
"You- you want to see her grave?" She said. I nodded
"Are you sure you're ready sweets?"
"I just want to talk to her" I said slowly.
"You want me to come with you. I'll go get my keys" she said standing up slowly.
"I'll take her. It's fine" I heard Ash's voice behind me.
"Oh Ashton you don't have to"
"No I want to. It ok" he said.
"Ok. Uhm. I love you saylor" she said. I could tell she was fighting for words. I nodded and turned to walk down the stairs. I grabbed my penny board that lay on the ground. One of my 5 penny boards. A lot of fans get my penny boards. I don't get why though. I mean they cost 70 bucks or so.
"Saylor we can drive" ash said.
"No. I'd rather ride. It's not far. You can follow me" I said opening the door. Ashton had my brothers keys in his hands. Ryan wouldn't mind. I put my board down on the side walk and pushed off. It was about a 5 minute ride to the cemetery. The ride went fast. I picked up my board and put it under my arm. I swallowed hard and pushed open the gate. Ash locked Ryan's car and followed me. He had sunglasses on though I doubt anyone would bother him here. I walked down the path that I knew all to well. I stopped next to the tree that was growing stronger and taller. My breathing hitched and I kelt down, rubbing my hand over the engraved gold words. My Dad's grave always had flowers on it. I closed my eyes and then opened them. Ash kept his distance so he wouldn't be crowding me. I love that kid so much. He always understood me more then the other boys. Sometimes even more then Luke. I looked to my left at my sisters gravestone that I had yet to see. I felt the lump in my throat grow. It was a beautiful message. It said

For all who loved her, May they stay strong and beautiful forever and always' I rubbed my fingers over the letters. I shut my eyes and collapsed onto her grave. I curled up in a ball keeping in the tears.
"Saylor. Say it's ok to cry. You can cry and scream and let it all out because it's just you and me. And a bunch of dead people but I guess I should just leave that part out" ash said keeling down next to me. I sat up and looked into his green-hazel eyes that shone with love.
"Ash.." I said weekly.
"Oh Say" he said wrapping his arms around me. I let the single tear roll down my cheek. He rubbed my back as I stared off into the distance.
"Why does everyone I love leave. Why Ash. I don't get it"
"I know. I know" he said. And then I lost it. All the emotion I had been holding up inside me. I let it out into Ash's shirt. It wasn't many tears. It was just dry sobs. I pulled back from Ashton staring into his eyes. His damp eyes.
"Saylor" he said. I looked at him to show I was listening.
"Your scars are beautiful. You never have to be ashamed of your scars and you don't have to hide it from your fans. They will love and except you always. Trust me I've been there. They will support you and love you no matter what" he said. I looked at him shocked and confused. Then it hit me. I glanced down at my wrists.
"H-how did you know" I whispered.
"I know because I spent to many years of my life hurting myself and trying to hide it" he said. I slid up my bracelets and looked at my scars. I had been clean for about a year now. I flushed my blades when Skylar found out. I started to cut and self harm after my dad died. I needed some way to take out my pain and hurt. I couldn't show I was hurting. I had to be strong for my mom and brothers and sister. Those scars will never fade. I had pledged I would never cut again. I couldn't cut again. I wouldn't let myself hurt myself again.
"Ash?"
"Yeah saylor"
"I'm done being so depressed. I'm over it. I hate feeling this way"
"You don't have to anymore. You can let it go. You don't deserve to feel this way. Take off your bracelets."
"What?"
"Just take them off" he said. I couldn't argue. I slid off my bracelets and starred over my scars. He pulled out a sharpie from his back pocket.
"Do you always have a sharpie in your pocket" I smirked raising my eyebrows.
"Oh shut up" he said popping opened the cap and carefully started on my left wrist. On my left wrist he signed my left wrist and on my right he wrote 'stay strong, stay beautiful'
"That's to remind you everyday of how strong you really are. You are stronger then your scars" he said.
"Thank you" I whispered hugging him.
"Will you take a picture for me. For when I'm ready to tell my fans" I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"Sure" he said as I handed him my phone. He took a picture and handed me back my phone. I put my bracelets back on and put my phone in my pocket.
"We should go" I said standing up and grabbing my penny board. What if someone finds out. With all the pictures or something like that. I can't let it happen till I'm ready.
"What kind of a dog you wanna get" he said as we got in my brothers car.
"Golden retriever. They are the sweetest cutest dogs ever" I said buckling my seatbelt, my penny board in my lap.
"Well Indies the best dog ever"
"That's what they all say" I said sticking my tongue out and staring out my window. Ash pulled into the driveway and turned off the car I unbuckled my seatbelt and opened my door. Ash brushed his hand over my wrist one more time before letting me get out of the car.
"Saylor I just want to say you're perfect and you don't need to cut yourself because you're better then that" he said.
"Thanks ash. You're always there for me and... Just thanks" I said wrapping my arms around me. He hugged me back and kissed my head.
"Let's go get you a new puppy" he said patting my back.
"I'll be right down. I have to talk to my mom" I said. He nodded and bounded down stairs. I chewed my lip and walked up the two flights of stairs to my mom.
"Hey. How was it?"
"Pretty damn amazing." I said sitting down on the arm of her chair.
"I'm so sorry sweetie. You've been through so much and it's not fair" she said pulling me into a hug.
"It's ok mom" I said.
"Hey we have some new neighbors. Would you mind taking these muffins over to them" she said.
"Ugh why do I have to do it" I groaned.
"Come on say. There's 2 boys you're age and a boy and a girl one Toby's age and one a little older" she said handing me the muffin basket.
"Ugghhhhhh" I groaned taking it from her. I walked down stairs and out the door, the wind was starting to pick up and was cool on my half exposed belly. Crop top problems. I walked across the street to the huge house. I knocked on the doors pulling out my phone and scrolling through twitter.
"Oh my god" I heard a familiar voice. I dropped my phone on the doormat my head popping up. Standing in front of me was the one and only Ryder Lynn.
"HOLY... RYDER WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE" I screamed attacking him with a hug.
"I live here. Oh my god saylor! What're you doing here" he said picking me up.
"I live over there" I said pointing.
"Here I'll take that" Sam said grabbing the basket from my hands. He put it on the table. I pulled away from Ryder and hugged Sam.
"Oh my god guys. This is for real? My best friend moved next to me. No way!!! Oh my god" I said stepping back.
"All mom said was that there was a girl and two boys" Sam said. Ryder was smiling like an idiot.
"Who's at the door Sam" a woman said.
"Oh. Mom this is Saylor, Saylor this is my mom" he said.
"Hi" I said smiling shaking her hand.
"Please call me Kelsey" she said smiling and shaking my hand.
"When did you guys move? I thought you weren't flying back until today" I said.
"We flew back this morning. Uncle Brian stayed back here and packed all this up and now we're here" Ryder said.
"Oh my god" I said hugging him again.

"What" I said looking back at him.
"I had no idea you could rap like that" he said looking at his phone. I should've knock he was on keek.
"You've got the full package" Luke said.

"Ok" my mom said turning off the car. I unplugged my phone and hopped out of the car. I could hear the dogs barking inside. We walked into the building which smelled surprisingly good for a home for a bunch of dogs.
"Hi what can I help you guys with today" a lady said walking up to us. I mean she was pretty.
"He we were wondering we could see your puppies" my mom sis d I snorted and turned around to the boys.

"Hey you can't blame me I'm at the age" I said as the woman led us back to a kennel with a bunch of Golden Retrievers.
"Oh ma god" Calum said. He can be so feminine some times. The lady opened up the wire fence and we all stepped in. Immediately a small puppy jumped up on me.
"Hi buddy" I said petting his soft fur. He started licking my face.
"I like this one" I said laughing.
"Puppy" Toby said plopping down next to me. I carefully lifted up the dog and put it on Toby's laugh.
"That is the runt of the litter. A little boy" the lady said.
"Ahh mom I think I've fallen in love" I said.
"Pft" Ryan said rolling his eyes.
"This one loves me" ash said. He was laying on the floor with a puppy on top of him eating his face.
"He's single" I said raising my eyebrows at the puppy.
"Let's keep this PG" Michael said lifting the dog off Ashton's chest.
"Mom I really like this one" Ryan said. He was playing with the same one I had before.

"Well you guys can choose she said" we all exchanged glances and then looked back up at my mom.

"Yeah." I said kneeling down again.
"Saylor we've decided that with all the stuff you've gone through, you should get to name him" Ryan said.

"Well. I think I'll name him Mavericks" I said. With the conus of his new name his ears pricked and he bounded over to me.
"He likes his new name" Luke laughed.
"Ok well let's go get all the paper work filed" the lady said.
"Awesome" my mom said as we all filed out of the kennel, me holding mavericks. He was so fluffy and cute.
"Hi mavericks. I'm ash. You can call me ash. I love you" Ash said petting his soft head.
"Oh god" I rolled my eyes and set mavericks down.
"Here we can get you guys a leash and treat" a guy said. He looked a little older then me but he looked so familiar.
"Thanks" I said looking up into his chocolate brown eyes. I chewed on my lip trying to figure out where I had seen him before. He studied my features and then looked away. He looked sad. Had I done something?
"If you wanna come with me you can choose" he mumbled.
"You guys stay here" I so as to the boys. They nodded and surrounded the dog.
"Hey do I know you from somewhere?" I said as he lead me down a hallway to what looked like a supply room. It had dog food and beds and yeah all that good stuff.
"Saylor?" He said weakly
"How do you know my name" I said. That's a stupid question. The internet knows my name.
"You don't remember me?" He whispered not making eye contact. Then it clicked.
"Hunter?" My eyes grew wide. Hunter and Skylar had dated for about a year. He didn't come to the funeral so I hadn't kept in touch. He met my eyes and then looked back at the wall of stuff. I took one of the leashes off the shelf.
"Why didn't you come" I said hoarsely.

"Saylor please" he said. My mom handed me the keys and I stormed out of the shelter to the car. I swung open the door and then slammed it behind me. I couldn't deal with him right now. Not now not ever. He says that he liked her a lot. I get it it hurts. How of you think I fricken feel. I screamed and slammed my head back on the seat. There was a knock on the window. I looked over at Ashton's worried and confused look. I sighed and opened the door.
"I have a puppy" he said putting mavericks on my lap. I smiled down at my puppy petting him.
"What's wrong Say" he said his green eyes boring into my head.
"It's stupid" I mumbled.

"That kid. Hunter. That was Skylar's boyfriend. Yeah everything was great she was happy. Then she was gone and we didn't hear from him at all. No calls no texts. He didn't even show up to the funeral" I said chewing my lip.

"That's a happy story Toby" Luke said laughing. I bit my lip and looked out the window.
"Is the dog on the leash?" My mom said stopping and putting the car in park.
"Yup" I so as shaking Mavericks to wake him up. He woke up with a jolt and jumped up on my legs. I laughed and opened the door carefully letting him down on the ground. I wrapped his leash around my hand as he tugged.
"You got it there say" Luke said. I could hear the smirk on his face
"You wish I wasn't so you could hold my puppy" I said sticking my tongue out at him.
"Puppy" Toby said.
"Toby what's his name. Can you say his name" I said. He shook his head and grabbed Luke's model legs. I mean seriously. He could be a model. I grabbed my phone and turned on vine.
"Guess what guys. I got a dog. Yup this is Mavericks. And I love him. Don't touch him or I'll break you" I said zooming in on Mavericks.
"I wanna be in a vine with your... How many followers do you have now?" Mikey said.
"Almost 7 million now" I said looking at my profile.
"What? That's crazy" Ash said.

"Let's go guys. There's plenty of time for vine later" my mom said walking towards the giant doors.

"I approve. From now on Mikey's our new dog bed tester" I said vining and laughing. I posted and looked through vine. I missed my boys so much. There were all these vines of the guys at magcon. I bit my lip and speak of the devil my phone rang.

"SAY BAE" Cams excited voice screamed.
"Hey guys. I was just thinking about you" I said walking away kinda.
"Saylor we miss youuuuu" Nash said.
"I miss you guys more. What's up"

"Well whatever. I don't care. I'm not gonna let it drag me down. I have you guys here and I don't need anything to worry me" I said.
"Good attitude" Cal said patting my back. I shook my head and stood up.
"I'll get the bed" Mike said grabbing it.
"Of course you will" I said rolling my eyes. We found my mom and payed for all our stuff. We loaded all the stuff in the car and drove home.
"Saylor will you ask Ryder if his family would like to come over for dinner" my mom said unloading the bags of pet supplies into the boys arms.
"Sure" I said handing Mavericks leash to Ryan and running off towards his door. I knocked a few times and then waited.
"Come in" I heard Sam's mom yell. I timidly opened the door and stepped in. Even though the house was filled with boxes it was still beautiful already.
"Saylor!" I heard a small voice yell from upstairs.
"Hi kiley" I said shoving my hands in my pockets.
"Ryder's up stairs" she said.
"I was actually looking for your mom" I said.
"Oh she's in here" she said grabbing my hand and pulling me through the maze of boxes into what looked like the kitchen.
"Saylor? Back so soon?"
"Hi Kelsey. My mom was wondering if you guys would want to come over for dinner?"
"I'm so glad those words just came out of you're mouth because as you can see there's no way we can cook" she said. She looked so tired.
"Ok. Yeah uhm be over at sixish?"

"Thank you" she said. I smiled and then followed kiley upstairs to where I could hear the call of duty and the drums.
"That's Sam's room" kiley said pointing into the room that admitted the COD Sam was all comfy on his bed starring at the TV with a controller in his hands.

"Hey" he said not looking at me. I rolled my eyes and then followed kiley down the hallway to where the drums sounded.

"Thanks ki" I said stepping in to a mess of boxes. The only thing set up was his drum set. Nope not even his mattress was on his bed frame.
"A hem hem" I cleared my throat and crossed my arms. He stopped and looked up at me smiling.

"It makes me nervous" he said putting down the drum sticks and stretching.

"Yeah. Sure" he said. I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of his room and down the stairs.

"See you later" he said as I dragged him out of the house to my own living space.

"Yep it's official your twins. Hold on I need a picture" I said putting the dog down and slipping my phone back out of my pocket.
"Ryder, you and Ash should play the drums together and bond and stuff" I said.

"Go you two. Go bond" I said pushing them a little. I watched them scurry down the stairs. I waited a few minutes and then followed then sneaking into the theater where Luke was sprawled out across the couch looking at his phone.
"Hey Lucas" I said flopping down on another couch.

"Sure. Ash and Ryder are in the band room though"
"We can do it in here" he said.
"Or in my room. Let's go in my room" I said standing back up and grabbing my vibrating phone. It was Kaley. I declined and shoved it back in my pocket.

"Saylor will you get the door" my mom yelled from upstairs. Ryder and I were stretched out ok my bed looking through my twitter. The boys were down stairs practicing and Ryan was I don't know what or where.
"That's probably Sam" Ryder said rolling off my bed and running downstairs. I followed behind him. Ryder opened the door and Mavericks came running.
"Oh who's this" Kelsey said going all soft.
"This is Mavericks." I said turning around when my mom put her hand on my shoulder.

"Aunt Jenny we're gonna go get dinner" Luke said, Ash swinging around Ryan's keys.

"Well. Let's go eat shall we?" My mom said. I nodded and followed her upstairs where Ryan was watching something. As soon as he saw people he shut off the tv and stood up.

"I'll be right back" I said slipping downstairs to my room. I locked the door and opened the doors to my walk in closet. I grabbed a new shirt and quickly changed throwing my other into the hamper. Then I ran back upstairs readjusting my hat as I skipped stairs.

"I had to change my shirt. It was a conversation starter and I try to be as antisocial as possible" I said watching Toby and Cole plop down and started playing with his chairs. Sam was looking at his phone a look of disgust written across his face. Ryan and all the oldies were laughing about something.

"What? Oh nothing" He said shoving his phone in his pocket.
"Right" I said deciding not to push it. He crossed his arms and kept his eyes glued on his Vans.
"You wanna see my room" I said trying to cheer him up.
"Sure" he said sounding disappointed.
"Oh Sammy cheer up. Come on" I said grabbing his arm and dragging him downstairs.
"Wow. This is cool" he said looking around my room.
"Thanks" I said leaning against the door frame.
"You like All Time Low?"
"I'm kinda into Punk Rock" I shrugged.
"I see" he said looking at the flat screen tv in front of my bed.
"You don't come across as the Punk Rock type though" Ryder said tickling my exposed stomach. I squealed and slapped his hand.
"See" he smirked at me.
"Oh I hate you. Hey I said I was gonna call Cameron so" I said ducking out of my room and derping on my phone.
"SAYLOR WE'RE ON STAGE" I heard Cameron yell and then the audience erupted.
"Are we now?" I said looking up and realizing where I was for the third time today. I groaned and stepped out slamming the door behind me.
"They want to ask you questions" he said. I swallowed hard and then stepped into Ryan's room. I gagged and covered my nose.
"RYAN IT SMELLS LIKE SOMETHING DIED IN HERE. Go one in ready for questions" I said closing his door and just slid down the wall.
"Ok first question"
"How does it feel hanging out with 5 Seconds of Summer" another voice said.
"Ok well I can't tell you the connection I have with the band until tomorrow BUT it feel awesome seeing the boys again and I love them and I find it hard to contain myself. They're getting food right now I think. I would have you talk to them" I laughed and the girls screamed.
"Ok. Yeah you come up here" cam said talking to the fans.
"Oh my god" a could hear the girl say.
"Tell her your name"
"Hi Saylor. Oh my god I love you so much. Uhm my names Ella. After you left I wanted to go home but our plane doesn't leave yet. Uhm anyways. Will you post more covers on YouTube?" She sounded so nervous.
"Uhhhh. Yeah. For you I will. Is there a specific song you'd like to hear?"
"Oh my god I can't believe this is happening. Uhm Turn Your Face by, Little Mix"
"I'll see what I can do. It won't be up for another week or so because I have 5SOS week right now. I promise I'll have it up though Ella" I said.
"Thank you so much" she said.
"Of course. Stay beautiful El" I said.
"Please never stop being you because you're really really awesome and amazing and great and I love you" she blurted out.
"Awe I won't" I said.
"KIDS DINNER" my mom yelled from upstairs.
"Ok. It was great talking to you guys I'll uh talk to you later" I said standing up.
"BYE SAYLOR" the girls said.
"Bye guys" I said hanging up and shoving my phone in my pocket.
"Come on boys" I said opening the door and then running up the stairs. I sat down at my place at the table. The boys were dragging there feet and eventually sat down at the table on either sides of me.
"You tired boys" I smirked.
"I haven't slept for a day or two" Ryder mumbled.
"Yeah me too" Sam said.
"Mom?"
"Yes honey" she said setting down the huge ham on the table. Jeez she never cooks like this when it's just us.
"What do we have to drink"
"The fridge is open. Although I'm going to have to go shopping again tomorrow because between you and the boys we're pretty much out of food" she said.
"You've got that right" Kelsey said laughing.
"I'm growing" I said shuffling over to the fridge and picking out 3 vanilla cokes.
"Thanks say" Ryder said as I set down all the cans in front of the boys.
"Mmhmm"
"Where's my coke" Ryan mumbled.
"In the refrigerator" I said popping mine open.
"Hurry Ryan I'd like to make a toast" my mom said. He shrugged and sat back down with his coke.
"To new friendships and rekindling old ones" my mom said. We all clanked glasses and then served ourselves.
"So Saylor. How long have you been on YouTube?" Brian said.
"Well uh I guess a year now. It started with vine and then after about a year I started up on YouTube"
"Wow... And how many subscribers do you have now?"
"4 million" I said quietly. I don't like bragging about my so called 'career'
"Whoa that's huge!" He said. I shrugged and looking down at my lap. My eyes stayed glued there until everyone burst into separate conversations.
"Thank you for a wonderful meal" Kelsey said as my mom cleared the table.
"Of course" my mom answered.
"I'll load the dishwasher" I said getting up and walking through the kitchen and opening the door.
"I'll help" Ryan said jumping up. I rolled my eyes at my best friend and loading the dirty plates and silver wear while Ryder loaded the cups.
"You have a beautiful view" I heard. I glanced up at all the old folk on the balcony.
"Saylor" Ryan called.
"Huh?" I said dusting off my hands and putting the soap in the dishwasher and starting it.
"Your phone is going crazy" he said. I had forgotten that I had taken it out of my pocket and put it on the coffee table.
"Oh. Thanks" I said scampering over to the glass coffee table and picking up my phone.
"12 missed calls" I said glancing at it and unlocking it.
"From who" Ryder said coming up behind me and putting his chin on my shoulder.
"Kaley" I said.
"Why don't you call her back"
"Well the fact that she was moving in with her dad for a year must of slipped her mind" I said turning around to face him.
"She forgot to tell you" he said.
"Well we'll see" I said pressing her contact and putting it on speaker.
"Hey" she said.
"When were you planning on telling me" I said.
"Oh... Uh who told you" she said.
"It's not important who told me. What's important is the fact that you didn't tell me you were leaving for a year"
"I was scared"
"Well it doesn't matter. Ryder and Sam moved long story short they love next door so I have someone to keep me company"
"Wow"
"Yeah. So is chance coming too or just you"
"Well I'm flying back and getting more clothes and chance and going back"
"When're you coming"
"Next week. Hey I wanted to tell you... I can't go to the Demi concert because I'll be... Yeah"
"Ok. I guess I'll take Ryder" I said.
"Ok" she said awkwardly.
"Hey I gotta go. Talk to you later"
"Yeah. Bye"
"Bye" I said hanging up and sitting down next to Ryder on the couch. Ryan had something up on MTV and Ryder was already in zombie mode.
"So demi lovato" he said.
"You up for that" I said nudging him.
"Uhm I think yes" he said. I smirked and leaned back on the couch watching the TV.

"Pizza. Pizza. Pizza. I love pizza" I heard Mikey sing from downstairs.
"I'll be right back" I said scotching past Ryder downstairs.
"I heard pizza and I came running" I said taking the stairs 3 at a time.
"Say say say" Luke said grabbing me and swinging me around. He's stronger then he looks.
"Ah Lukey I want pizza" I said laughing.
"Now you get tortured because you called me Lukey" he said dropping me and tickling my stomach. I curled up in a ball in fits of laughter.
"Shtap Shtap" I said rolling around. He stood up and looked down at me.
"You call your friend"
"He's coming next week so you have to call him Cameron not my friend" I said crossing my arms over my stomach.
"Well maybe I can arrange that" he said.
"Yeah yeah" I said sitting up and looking up the stairs.
"You never took off your shoes" he said.
"I'm always wearing shoes. I dunno I just always wear shoes" I said.
"Oh. I see" he said. I shrugged again and stood up.
"I'll see you later Saylor" he said as I made my way up stairs.
"Maybe" I said smirking back at him after running up the stairs and flopping on the couch next to Ryder.

"Well thanks for dinner" Kelsey said gathering all of the children.
"Sure. Anytime"
"What time should I be over tomorrow" I said turning to Ryder.
"Whenever" he said shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Don't give me that" I said pushing him.
"Fine. 9:30" he said.
"Perfect. See you tomorrow" I said sticking out my tongue before walking downstairs.
"Haha told you I'd see you again" Luke said from his couch.
"I just came down here to say goodnight"
"Hey tomorrow we have a meeting in LA so we won't be back until like 5"
"Ok that's cool. I have to help Ryder anyways" I said glancing at the movie they were watching before turning to go back up stairs.
"See you tomorrow Say" Mikey called.
"Night guys." I called.
"Lovvvvvvvvve you" Luke called. I smiled and ran upstairs to my room. I picked out a pair of pjs and walked into my connected bathroom. I changed and brushed my teeth, then pulled my hair into a pony tail and walked back out into my room. I through my clothes in the hamper and went to close my window. I looked across at Ryder's house. There he was sitting at his drum set on his phone. You may find it a little creepy that I was watching him through his window but yeah I'm kinda of a creepy person aren't I. I smiled before closing the sheer curtains and hopping on my bed. It was only 9:30 something good has to be on right? I cuddled under my covers and turned on the tv. I slowly drifted off to sleep with the sound of Nickelodeon.

Hi. Uh yeah so here's a chapter. I feel like I've completely changed the whole plot line so please please PLEASE tell me what you think because I really want to know.
