IT'S has been a week since she last saw Aura. She was busy lately. Maybe it has to do with the upcoming holidays. Exactly two weeks before Christmas.

She decided to visit her. It's a 15-minute ride from her apartment.

Her office is basically inside the hotel. She took a deep breath before entering the lobby.

"Good morning, Miss. Do you have a reservation?" Greet one of the receptionists as she approached.

"Good morning. I am looking for Aura De Vos."

"Do you have an appointment with Miss De Vos?"

"N-no."

"Alright. Can I have your name please?"

"Alexie Cruz."

"One moment please."

She looked around the grand lobby as she waited for the receptionist make a call.

This hotel is one of the busiest hotels in the city. It is only a few minutes from the shopping malls and nearby tourist destinations. In fact, Sweet Surrender is just a five-minute walk from here. It is maybe the reason why they met.

"Miss Alexie Cruz."She glanced at the receptionist again. "You can go to her office. It's in the second floor."

"Thank you."

She went to the elevator and pressed the number two. Another lounge greeted her when she went out.

"Miss Cruz?" Asked by the receptionist in the said floor. She nodded. "Miss De Vos is in her office now."

She pointed at the last door in her right. After thanking her, she went to the said door. She assumed that this floor held the private offices of the personnel. The walls are glass paneled but with floor to ceiling curtain.

She knocked twice and heard of a faint 'come in' from the inside.

She pushed the glass door and found the person she had not seen in days. She was looking at the open folder above her table.

Her eyes caught sight of the written words in the laminated plate in the same table.

Surprise is an under-statement. She knew that Aura might be in upper middle class but not this rich. She thought that she might be just one of the administrative personnel of the hotel.

"Babe?"

That was the moment when she looked at Aura. She was already standing behind her table.

"Hey." She responded sheepishly.

"I miss you."

She just stood in the middle of the spacious office. Aura approached her and drew her close for a tight embrace.

"I miss you so much, babe."

A moment later she felt her feet in the air. Aura is holding her middle in between her arms. She holds on her shoulder.

"I'm so happy you are here. Work is keeping me from you." Aura said with a smile. She just smiled back.

She pecked her lips and asked to be in her feet. She held her hand and they sat on the couch in the receiving area.

"Did I bother you?"

She shook her head. Smile is still in her face. "You will always be a welcome distraction."

She pulled her in her arms and kissed her temple. She leaned onto her.

"Babe." Aura stiffened a little. "Aura?"

"Say it again."

She gulped. "Babe."

Aura giggled and showered her face with kisses. She laughed at her girlfriend's giddiness.

"Aura, listen." She said after a while, still chuckling.

"Yes, babe?"

"I have thought about what you said awhile back." She took a deep sigh. "I'm going home for the holidays."

"Alright."

"Would that be fine with you?"

"Of course." She lifted her head from her shoulder. Aura grinned at her. "I am coming with you, Mrs. De Vos."

Her lips went ajar with her statement. Just how many surprises can she take in a day?
