ALEXIE woke up alone in bed. Aura is nowhere to be seen. She gathered the duvet to cover her nakedness. She leaned her back on the bed's headboard. She combed her short hair with her hand before intertwining them above her middle.
She paused. She put her left hand in front of her face. Her eyes spotted the white gold ring in her ring finger. The blue stone sparkled when the light reflects on it.

"Good morning, babe."
Her eyes went to Aura after staring at the gorgeous ring. Her hair is still wet from the shower. She was wearing a white robe.
"Did you like it?"
She sat beside her and kissed her cheek. She grasps her hand that has the ring. She looked at it thoroughly.
"It's perfect for your finger." She kissed her finger.
"What's this for?" She asked when she found her voice.
Aura faced her. She cupped her cheeks. She rubbed her lower lip with her thumb.
"I am simply marking my territory, Mrs. De Vos."
"W-what?"
She kissed her lips. Again and again. She still looked at Aura in confusion. Aura just smiled at her. She pecked her lips again before leaving her in bed.
"I won't ask you. I will not give you a chance to say no to me, Mrs. De Vos." She grinned again.
"Is this what I think it is, De Vos?"
She grinned wider. "Yes. You are mine, Alexie Cruz."
She just blinked her eyes in disbelief. Her girlfriend just laughed at her.
Her eyes return to the ring in her finger. Engage, eh?
