Sweet Surrender

               ALEXIE went down to have coffee. She kept herself inside the suite after she left the house this morning. She planned to reconnect with her siblings and their kids when she went there. However, the outcome of her visit gone haywire.

She understood that her relationship with Aura is unconventional and she expects a little resistance. It is inevitable. But, what Ate (big sister) Viola is insinuating is appalling.

She took a deep sigh before taking a sip of her coffee.

This day is nerve-racking. She longed to be in Aura's arms and forget the day. She knew that Aura could take her mind off this matter.

She looked up when she heard a gentle cough near her table. She found Shawn looking at her.

He stood up from his table and sit opposite hers. She glared at him.

"What do you want?" She asked and chose to gaze outside than in his face.

"I need to talk to you?"

"About?"

"I want us to be together again."

She glanced back at him. She laughed when she noticed that he is rather serious. She almost doubled over with the seriousness in his face.

"Thanks that you find it entertaining, Alexie." Shawn said in sarcasm.

"I didn't know that you became humorous."

He clenched his fist in irritation. He put his hand down when he noticed that I am looking at it.

"Nagbago na ko (I've change), Alexie."

"Me, too."

"I still love you, hon."

She wanted to laugh again upon hearing the endearment he used to call her but stopped herself. She smiled instead. "I love her, Shawn."

"No!"

She was appalled with his outrage. He also pounded his clenched fist in the table. Without looking around her, she knew that they caught almost everyone's attention in the restaurant.

"Akin ka (You're mine), Alexie! Your sister liked me better."

"And I put her in place." She retorted. Her annoyance returned.

"Can you bear knowing that you sister didn't like that woman for you? It's a disgrace."

"And you are an honorable man."

His fury suddenly subsides. "It's a one-time thing, Alexie."

"And you hit it like a jackpot."

She stood up. She was trying to leave him when he seized her arm. "Come back to me. Please."

She shook her head and removed his hand. He tried to grab her again.

"I won't do that if I were you, Shawn."

They both looked at that voice. She was relieved when she saw Aura. She almost run towards her and automatically encircled her hands around her fiancée.

Aura's arms immediately move across her back. She planted her face in her chest. Stress is invading her system. She wanted this day to end already.

"Throw that man out of my property. Ban him from every hotel I own." She heard Aura command.

The security is possibly alerted when Shawn made a scene a while ago.

"Bring me home, babe." She whispered when Aura embrace her.

"I'm here now."

She felt her kiss her head before leading her back to their suite.
