That was Aura's third question since their drive started. In a few minutes they will be entering her old town.
"I will be. You are with me." A grin appears in Aura's face when she glanced at her. "I'm nervous though. It has been a while."
After a slight traffic they reached one of the boutique hotels downtown. As soon as she found a space she parked the car and they entered the hotel lobby.
"Good afternoon. Do you have a reservation?"
"It's under Alexie Cruz."
"One moment please."
"Miss De Vos?"
Both of them looked at the person who called for Aura. It was a middle aged man. He was wearing a uniform similar with the color of the receptionist's.
"Yes."
"I'm John Sy. Mr. Zena informed me of your arrival. A suite has been prepared for you."
"Thank you."
"Follow me, please."
He must be the manager. He motioned for the bell boy to assist them of their luggage.
Aura touched the small of her back as they followed Mr. Sy. They entered the elevator. Mr. Sy pushed the number of the floor where their suite is.
"Mr. Zena told me that you will be staying for a few days."
"That's right. Sorry for the short notice."
"It's fine, Miss De Vos."
Mr. Sy and Aura continue talking until they reached their suite. The AC is already on. The bell boy put their luggage beside the bed.
She gave him a tip that he accepted with a smile.
"Anything you need, Ms. De Vos, please do not hesitate to ask for me."
"Thank you." They shook hands and he left together with his staff.
"So much for discretion."
She chuckled before pulling their luggage toward the wardrobe closet. Aura looked around the suite.

"Is this ok with you?"
"Yes. A little girly but its fine. I also booked for a suite. Might as well inform the reception later to cancel it since your colleague reserved this room already." She said with a smirk.
Aura laughed at with her comment. "It was entertaining. Are we going to have the Christmas shopping now?"
"No. You may take a nap. I'll be done in a few minutes."
Minutes later, she found Aura asleep in the king size bed. She is also done putting their clothes in the closet.
Aura was not able to sleep during the ride since she wanted to accompany her while driving.
She knew that Aura only had a few hours of sleep last night. They had a blast before going to sleep. Aura never let her sleep until she beg her to stop and let her sleep since she will be the one driving.
She also knew that she woke up early to check her emails this morning to do some work.
She lay down beside Aura and kissed the side of her lips before encircling her arm around her middle. As if on cue, Aura pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.
She closed her eyes with a smile.

IT'S half an hour past seven when they reached Alexie's old house. Nothing seemed to change from five years ago. She parked the car beside the road.

"Is this your old house, babe?"
Aura is also looking at the well lit front yard a few meters from where they are. There is no Christmas décor outside but she could bet that there is a big Christmas tree inside and a few garlands on the wall.
"Yes. Let's go."
She was about to alight the car when Aura grabbed her arm. She immediately glanced at her. Surprised, her lips met Aura's. She instantly responds and they both smile right after.
"For good luck."
Smiling wider, "I need that."
She got out of the car. Aura got the cake from the back seat. It was from the hotel's restaurant.
They can hear laughter and bickering as they walked towards the house.
A young boy around 8 or 9 years old appear at the door followed by a younger girl. Both of the kids stared at them.
"Who are you?" The boy asked.
"Mom, there are people outside!" The girl screamed and left them.
"Hello, little boy. Merry Christmas!" Aura responds to the boy with a smile while the boy & I are having a staring contest.
"Are you here for the caroling?" Aura chuckled.
"Alexie!?"
She looked up and met her older sister's stunned face. Seconds later, her brother and other sister were at the door. Disbelief is visible all over their faces.
"Hi. Merry Christmas!"
She was bombarded with questions but was never given a chance to respond. She was hugged by her siblings. She just stood there dazed.
When her brother let go of her, she looked for her girlfriend. She was two meters away. Aura was beaming at her. She smiled back.
"Let's continue this inside." Her brother, Leo, said.
"Who's that girl? Is she a basketball player?"
They all looked at the boy staring at Aura. Her siblings looked at her then at Aura.
"She's a giant." Added by another teenager that she recognize as the daughter of her eldest sister.
Aura chuckled at the kids' reaction to her height. She motioned at her girlfriend to come to her side.
She grabbed Aura's hand. "This is my girlfriend, Aura."
"Hi." She waved her free hand. "Merry Christmas, family."
