Chapter 4: Roxie's First Mission

It has been a week since Roxie joined the Paw Patrol and thirteen days since Chase saved Roxie from getting killed by two Rottweiler's named Buddy and Buster.

Roxie and Chase have both started to develop feelings for each other. We see Skye, Zuma, Everest, Rocky, Chase and Roxie playing freeze tag out side the Lookout while Marshall is washing his truck, and Tracker and Rubble are inside watching Apollo the super pup and Ryder is sitting at the top of the Lookout playing checkers with Robodog.

"I'm going to get you Roxie." Chase says as he chases Roxie to freeze her as he has already got Skye, Zuma, Rocky and Everest.

Chase is about to tap Roxie when their pup tags go off. "Paw Patrol to the Lookout." Ryder's voice comes over their pup tags. "Ryder's calling." Roxie says as they race into the Lookout.

Tracker and Rubble are already in the elevator waiting for the others. "Where's Mawshall?" Zuma asks. "Watch out!" Roxie yells jumping out of the way when she sees Marshall running to the elevator.

Marshall trips over a squeaky toy and crashes into Chase as his water cannons shoot water and hits Rocky in his face. "No wet wet wet." Rocky says shaking himself dry.

"Sorry Rocky guess I need some oil to stop myself from squeaking." Marshall says as the elevator goes up and the pups all laugh.

When they get to the top of the Lookout they jump out and sit in their usual place. "Paw Patrol ready for action Ryder sir." Chase says stomping his paw on the ground.

"Thanks for hurrying pups we have a high speed emergency the new experimental smart train is out of control and picking up speed with passengers on board." Ryder tells them.

"Alex, Mw Powtew and Katie awe on that twain." Zuma says. "I know so for this mission Chase I need your cones and megaphone to redirect traffic away from the station." Ryder says.

"These paws up hold the laws." Chase says with a serious tone. "EMT Marshall I need you and your medical gear to check out the passengers." Ryder says.

"I'm ready for a ruff ruff rescue." Marshall says. "Roxie this mission is perfect for you I need you and your mini computer to hack the trains controls and stop it from the inside." Ryder says.

"I'm ready to hack away." Roxie says with a bit of excitement in her voice. "Skye you will fly Roxie to the roof of the train in your harness so she can use her suction cup boots to make it inside and save everyone on the train." Ryder says.

"Let's take to the sky." Skye says doing a back flip. "The rest of you since Chase can't be in two places at once I need you to stop traffic on the over side of the train tracks." Ryder tell the others.

"You got it Ryder." Rocky, Everest, Tracker, Zuma and Rubble say. "Alright Paw Patrol is on a roll." Ryder says running to the fireman pole as the pups howl.

Time Skip to the Mission. Roxie's POV

We have just arrived at the train station and Chase sets to work blocking of the road to and from the station with his cones and megaphone.

"Skye lower your harness." Ryder says into his pup pad. "Roger that Ryder. Raff Harness." Skye says as her copter lowers the harness and Ryder attaches it to my pup pack.

Once the harness is secured Ryder tells Skye to take it away. Skye flies her copter over the train and begins to lower me to the roof. 

"Raff Suction Cups." I bark and my suction cups come out of my boots. "Okay Skye you can let me go now." I tell Skye over my pup tag.

"Right. Raff Harness retract." Skye barks and her harness released me and retracted into her copter. "Be careful Rox." Skye tells me via our pup tags.

"I will Skye." I say into my pup tag walking to the start of the train. A few seconds later I arrive at the front of the train and see an access panel I can fit in.

I crawl into the panel and arrive in the main control room for the smart train. "Ryder I'm in." I say into my pup tag.

"Great now hack the system and stop the train and be careful pup." Ryder tells me. "I will be Ryder." I tell him. I walk over to the main computer.

"Ruff mini computer." I bark and my mini computer pops out of my pup pack and I plug it in and begin to hack the system.

A few minutes later I finally bypass all the systems and access the main control. "Ryder I have control of the train." I say into my pup tag.

"Good job Roxie now hit the brakes." Ryder tells me and I hit the brakes to stop the train right at the station. I unhook my mini computer after running a diagnostic on the trains system and head outside.

Chase comes running up to me. "Are you alright Rox?"  Chase asks me as he nuzzles my cheek. "I'm fine Chase." I reply nuzzling him back.

"Ahem!" We hear a voice and stop looking at the others Skye and Everest give me a knowing look Chase and I look at each other before looking away blushing madly.

Ryder, Mayor Goodway, Katie, Alex and Mr Porter walk over. "Good job pup." Ryder says scratching me behind my left ear.

"Thanks Ryder and I now why the train malfunctioned." I say. "Why and how?" Tracker asked me.

"I ran a diagnostic on the systems and it was a virus uploaded to the train via an outside source the train was sabotaged." I tell them.

"Your sure?"  Skye asked me. "Positive." I tell them. "So someone tried to sabotage the train with people on board. But the answer is who?" Rocky asked.

"I'm back tracing the Ip address that uploaded the virus but it's being bounced all over the world." I tell them.

"Thank you Roxie your hacking skills saved us." Katie says picking me up. Alex and Mr Porter also thank me. "Your welcome and remember when ever your in trouble just yelp for..."  I begin looking at the other pups.

"Help." The nine of us say together. "Your all such good pups go have fun." Ryder tells us hopping onto his ATV the other pups and I jump into our vehicles and head back to the Lookout.

After we get back to the Lookout we park our pup houses in our space and convert them back to house mode. I notice it is just after noon.

" So what is every pup going to do now?" Chase asked us. "I'm going to go wind surfing." Zuma tells us. "I'm gonna watch him." Skye says.

"I'm gonna watch Apollo the super pup."  Rubble says. "I'm going to the pup Park." Marshall says. "I'm going to find more recyclables." Rocky says.

"I'll help if you don't mind?" Tracker ask him. "I don't mind Tracker."  Rocky tells him. "I'm going to have a nap." I say. "Same." Everest says.

"You?" Rubble asks Chase. "I'm going to have a bath at Katie's." Chase tells us we all nod and go our separate ways Everest and I heading to our respective pup houses.

I walk into my pup house and lay down closing my eyes and slowly drifting of to sleep. I still can't believe I had my first mission today.
