Our Cliche' Love Story

Chapter Thirteen: Roasted Chicken and Mash Potatoes

Ethan POV
I walk towards home thinking, knowing that I love Kathleen. Why am I being a cliche' best friend? I enter my house and find Gabriel partnerd up with Lucia while Tracy and Princess instruct them on which step is next, and for Linus, Linus was just at the couch making scratch noises at the couch.

"Hey Than!" Said Princess.

"Hey! Hi Lucia" I greeted her "May I speak with you for a moment?" I ask her.

"Sure" answered Lucia, she lets go of Gabriel and follows me to the kitchen area.

"Sup dude?" Asked Lucia as she sits on top of the counter.

"What happened? Earlier this morning? I heard the car rush? Is everything okay?" I asked her.

"Yah dude, everything is alright. Len just had a test drive" said Lucia.

"In 3 a.m. in the morning?" I asked her.

"Yah, cause the roads then are quite, a bit" she explained.

"Your lying to me Lucia" I told her.

"And so is Len, but you're not realizing it" answered back Lucia "Len is lying right infront of you. I know the truth but I can't tell you, I'm sorry. You have to hear the truth from Len".

Lucia leaves the kitchen and grabs a banana on the way out. I know Len can lie right in front of me, but if its coming from Lucia than Len is really hiding something from me. Like a burried treasure. I walk in the living room to Gabriel and Lucia practicing agaun and Tracy and Princess dance with each other.

"Do any of you know where Len is?" I asked them.

"At the court" answered Linus as he sways his hands in the air.

"With Antonio" finished Tracy.

I leave the house and ride my scooter to the basketball court, I park my scooter by the wall and remove the helmet that I was wearing. As I was about to enter the court I see Len and Antonio dancing together. I look at Len who seems to be happy dancing with Antonio. It makes me happy to see her smile, at the same time it pains me knowing that I'm not the one making her smile. They both stop dancing as the music ends and Antonio steps closer to Len which makes my heart stop for a moment.

"I know what's going to happen next" I told myself and I left both of them alone.

I scooter my way back to the house as the rain starts to pour. I rush inside and didn't have the chance to hear what Princess was going to say, I head into my room and plush my face into the pillow. I hear the rain pour even harder, and harder.

"AHHHHHH! What's wrong with me?" I asked myself "AHHHHH".

I continue to scream and scream until I knocked myself out. I wake up to find that the blue skies have turn dark where the stars shine along with the moon.

"Hey Ethan, you okay? I got you some dinner, we got roasted chicken and mash potatoes, you want?" Asked Mom from the other side of the door.

"Come in" I mumbled as I stare up into the ceiling.

"So? What's going on? Your scream has been echoing through the hall, untill it has been echoing inside my head. Horrible I say" said mom as she places the tray of food on the table.

I don't say a word and continue to stare up at the ceiling.

"Young love?" Asked mom.

"How'd you know?" I asked back.

"I'm your mother" she answeres sounding offended.

"Its Len" I told her "She's being such a Len".
