I'm back, enjoy!
-Luv Lyds!!
(Carina's POV)
"Carina? C'mon Car, wake up." A voice floats through the room, waking me up from my slumber.
"Hm?" Keeping my eyes closed I blindly swat at whatever is interrupting my peaceful sleep.
"Carina wake up, it's time for breakfast." The same voice says.
Something incoherent comes out of my mouth, as I roll over, trying to go back to sleep.
"C'mon Car, we're having pancakes and bacon. Your favorite." The voice sighs making me sit up excitedly. I peel my eyes open, staring at Jonah's adorable tired-face.
"Do you have any idea how hard it is to wake you up?" Jonah sighs, playfully glaring at me.
"No, but I've heard. But do you, my wonderful boyfriend, know how hard it is to sleep when someone is trying to wake you up?" I retort, laughing when he rolls his eyes.
"Whatever, just get up Lazybones." Jonah teases, yanking the covers away from me.
I roll out of bed (literally) and land on the floor with a groan. Taking the hand that my boyfriend holds out, he pulls me up and we walk across out of my room.
Almost immediately the sweet aroma of pancakes and bacon fill my senses, and I run downstairs and skid into the kitchen.
"Well good morning to you too, Carina." Jessica laughs as I grab a plate and fill it up.
"Good morning everyone, and sorry. I get a bit excited." I smile sheepishly.
"Seriously Carina? A bit excited? You ran down the steps, breaking a rule not to mention. Be more careful." Jonah sighs walking into the kitchen.
Yes, Jonah has become less of a teen, and more of a worrying guardian.
"Jonah relax" I groan. "I'm perfectly fine!"
"Well, you won't be if you keep this up." Jonah argues.
"You guys argue like a married couple. Jonah stop being a worried parent-like-figure, and Carina mind your rules. Now that we've settled this, eat your breakfast." Jaylen suggests, from her spot at the table.
"Yes mother." Jonah and I say in unison. Jaylen rolls her eyes, and shoves a forkful of pancake in her mouth.
"Alright, so what's the plan for today?" I ask, eating a perfectly crispy piece of bacon.
"Well, today Jessica and I have to work, so you 3 will be here alone, Tim will drop us off and then will come back if need be." James answers.
Turning to Jonah and Jaylen, I ask "Alright, so what's the plan for today?"
"We can watch a movie or two, and then can play board games or something." Jaylen suggests. She's just full of suggestions today.
"Yeah, that would be nice." My boyfriend agrees. To be honest, it's still quite new to be calling him my boyfriend. Real new.
"What about you Car?" Jaylen asks.
"Yeah, that sounds fantastic." I mumble around a mouth full of pancake. Whoever made these is awesome. Since I've been out of sight of the hospital, which is a week, the family had been making me try a lot of different food. I've gained more weight this week then I had in a year.
"Well, James and I have to go now, so have a good day. Jonah, Jaylen, you know what I'm going to say." Jessica says, in an attempt to hide it.
Basically they're supposed to keep me busy so I don't have time to think about the loss of my father, or the fact that Andrea is going to be locked in a high security prison for life.
