Luv Lyds!!

(CARINAS POV)

A day had passed since I learned about my past. Jonah and I are currently in my hospital cot, against the doctors orders. We were crammed up in the small bed together, but it was comforting to be so close to him. His finger twirls a lock of my hair as I snuggle against his chest.

"Jonah?" I ask softly.

"Yeah?"

"We should probably separate before the doctor comes. He made it clear that he didn't want us together in such a small space." I tell him, although I don't want him to leave me.

Dumb doctor.

"But I don't want to leave your side though. Dumb doctor." He grumbles as he gets up from the bed. He sits on the chair by the window in the small room.

"You're already too far away." I whine, reaching my arms out to him.

"Get that cute pout off of your pretty lips." He chuckles as he scoots the chair closer to my bed.

The doctor chooses that moment to walk into my room. He's an old dude who is obviously old-fashioned. Everything has to go his way or not at all.

"I trust you stayed off the bed?" Dr. Strin asks giving a pointed glare at Jonah.

"Of course Sir." Jonah nods.

"Yeah whatever." Dr. Strin scoffs. "You may not believe it, but I was your age once."

"So what's the deal Doc?" I ask curiously.

"Well," He start looking down at his clipboard before continuing. "You are suffering from severe trauma from the abuse. You have to be watched constantly so nothing happens to you. You may experience panic attacks, flashbacks, aches and pains, nightmares. Someone must always be with you until I give you the clear. You have to stay here for one more day, and then you can go home. You will be living with the Alenders, and they are now your legal guardians. They have been informed of all this information."

"Wait. Watched. All the time?" I question uncomfortably. I hate being watched.

"Yes Miss. Davis. All the time." Dr. Strin answers giving me a stern glare.

"I'll watch her while she's in here." Jonah pipes in. He received a nod from the doctor. I sigh, knowing that Jonah will stay true to his word.

~~~
And that he did. It's been four hours. FOUR HOURS, and he's not left me alone! At all. He called Jaylen so I could use the bathroom, and she watched me like a hawk. I was escorted immediately back to my room after that, and I was watched by him from then on.
I'm not allowed out of my bed, I'm not allowed to move around, I'm not allowed to do ANYTHING! I am pissed. I'm not glass, I'm not going to break if I move around. Like what the fudge.
"Jonah?" I ask.
"What? Are you okay? What's wrong?" He questions as he sits at attention. He's been like this all day. But when I try and make conversation he says that I need to rest.
"Why are you acting like this?" I ask, a whine present in my voice.
"What do you mean?" He asks, looking me in the eye for the first time in a while.
"This! It's as if you're afraid I'm going to break if a butterfly lands on me. You think that I'm so tired, when I'm not. I'm not broken Jonah. I'm getting better, and I can do things. I'm so bored but you keep dismissing me. This is the first time you met my eyes since the doctor was in here, this is the most you even let me speak. What can I do to make you stop acting this way?" I take a breath after the long rant.
