Chapter 35-goodbye police

Lily's POV:
I heard crashes from downstairs. Dammit Ben. I told Mollie to stay here and I left the secret room to go downstairs. I peered around one of the walls to see the cops beating Ben, demanding answers. I dont know why he didnt just teleport away, I guess it would make him very suspicious and stuff sooo..well if he isnt already. I walked around the corner "HEY! What the hell are you doing to him?!" I shouted at the police. The cops looked at eachother, and stopped what they were doing. Ben got up and ran over to me. "what the hell are you doing?"he said ina whisper so only I could hear.
"Just go along with it."

The cops walked over to me and checked the pictures on their papers.
"Yep that's one of them." One of the cops said to the other.
"Wait, I'm one of what?" I questioned.
"One of the two girls that have been reported missing."
I looked at him confused. Yes we were missing but who told them. No one else lived with us, it was just me and Mollie living in the house. And I don't get why our neighbors would have called them, we go out for a few days a lot. Maybe someone saw Jeff taking Mollie. I was honestly fine with being here now so I just kind of lied.
"Missing? No no there's some mistake. We are fine here."
Ben looked at me a confused but happy look on his face.
"Ah ok, well sorry about all this." The cop said. I showed them both back to the door and lockes the door after they were outside. When Ben had seen they were out of sight he spoke "So you actually want to stay here?"he said smiling. "yes Ben I do. But can you try and talk to Jeff or something? I know he means to try and be loving to Mollie and I know she does too. I know deep down somewhere she loves him but because of the recent event she is really not feeling it."
"I'll try but what event happened?"
Oh he doesnt know yet. Damn.
"Uuhhh... Jeff kind of stabbed Mollie in both of her thighs so she wouldn't run away. I dont even know if she'd bother, besides she knows she'd get caught again. I feel bad because it was mostly my idea to run away..."
Ben looked at me and hugged me.
"It's not your fault, besides you know Jeff's reactions are rather extreme.."
