Luke

I wake up and open my eyes to see Michael sleeping right next to me. My arm is around him and his head is pressed against my chest and he's still sleeping.
I smile at the sight. He's beautiful. I check my phone to see what time it is and it's almost 11am. I lay silently for a while trying not to wake Michael.
Some time later I feel Michael stirring next to me and I look over to see his eyes open.
"Hey." I say to the half asleep Michael. Michael rubs his eyes and groans.
"What time is it?" He asks, his voice deeper than usual since he just woke up.
"11:20" I respond. Michael's head is no longer on my chest and I miss the feeling. Michael sits up on the bed.
"I want pancakes." Michael sighs.
"Then let's make pancakes." I suggest.

Michael

"I'm not good at cooking though. Calum's the one who usually makes pancakes but he's still sleeping." I sigh.
"I'm not a good cook either. Once I tried to make mac n cheese and the microwave set on fire." Luke admits. I raise an eyebrow.
"Well I still want pancakes so I guess we'll have to risk burning the house down." I say, getting up. Luke gets up after me and we both walk downstairs to the kitchen.
"Okay I'll get the pancake mix and you turn on the stove." I say to Luke and he nods, going to the stove and turning it on. I get the store-bought pancake mix and put it on the counter.
"Okay so I think we need to add water. And that's it right?" I say, mostly talking to myself as Luke reads the instructions on how to make pancake batter.
"Yeah I think so." Luke says, frowning. I shrug and mix some pancake mix with water.
"Okay now I think you just pour the batter onto the pan on the stove." Luke says, unsurely.
"Okay I got this." I say, pouring the batter on the pan.
"Wait I think I put too much batter." I say, seeing as the whole pan is filled and it is definitely not a pancake. It's more like a giant square.
"Oh well it'll probably still tastes good" Luke says, shrugging.
"Hopefully." I say, looking at the 'pancake'. "How long do pancakes cook for?"
"I don't know. I think you just flip it after a couple minutes." Luke replies and I nod.
After 2 minutes of waiting, Calum walks downstairs.
"Oh hey guys. What are you doing?" Calum asks, walking into the kitchen.
"Trying to make pancakes." I say, turning to Calum. Calum looks at the pancake on the stove and his eyes widen.
"That's a pancake?" Calum asks, confused.
"It's supposed to be a pancake. I tried my best." I say, sighing at the gigantic square-shaped pancake. Calum laughs.
"Don't laugh at my pancake." I say, pouting.
"This is why I'm the one who cooks." Calum says, still staring at the pancake.
"You don't cook. All you do is cook pancakes every once in a while and then you get pizza." I say, frowning.
"Well making pancakes is cooking." Calum adds.
"Fine." I say, shaking my head.

Luke

I can't help but smile at Michael as he fights Calum about pancakes. He's cute. I sigh at my thoughts.
"What are you thinking about?" I hear Michael say.
"Nothing. Just thinking about the pancake." I say, smiling. Michael laughs slightly.
"I think it's almost done. Calum took over the cooking because apparently I don't do it right." He says, walking over to the couch and sitting on it. I sit next to him.
"Well I disagree. I think your square pancake looks amazing." I say, laughing. Michael laughs as well.
"THE PANCAKE THING IS READY." Calum yells, walking to the kitchen with three plates. He cut the square pancake into three pieces so now it's three rectangles. He gives me and Michael each a plate and then he sits on the other couch with his plate.
"Okay fine. I have to admit your square pancake tastes pretty good." Calum says towards Michael. Michael smirks.
"I knew I was a good cook." He says, winking at Calum. I laugh and so do Calum and Michael.
A couple seconds later theres a knock at the door.
"Why do people keep knocking at my door? When'd I become so popular?" Calum asks, frowning.
"Calum, are you forgetting that this is my house?" Michael says, raising his eyebrows in amusement. Calum sighs dramatically.
"You're just jealous that I'm so popular." Calum says, glaring at Michael. The person at the door knocks again.
"Just get the door you asshole." Michael laughs, shaking his head. Calum gets up and opens the door, leaving the pancake on the couch.
"Oh hey Ashton! What's up?" Calum says.
"Nothing really. I just woke up and nobody was in the house so I got lonely and now I'm here." I hear Ashton say.
"Well come in and party with us." Calum says, leading Ashton inside and shutting the door. Calum sits back on the couch with his pancake and Ashton sits next to him.
"Luke you left me and made me all lonely." Ashton huffs.
"Oops." I reply.
"Oops is right. We need to have a serious discussion about this." Ashton says, jokingly. I shake my head at him, laughing.
"Wait. There's pancakes? I want pancakes." Ashton says.
"Calum you should of cut the pancake into 4 rectangles." Michael laughs.
"Rectangles?" Ashton asks, frowning.
"I would've if I knew Ashton was coming." Calum sighs. "You can just share my rectangle. I'll get another fork." Calum says, getting up.
"I'm still confused about the rectangles." Ashton says, pouting.
"Michael made a square pancake and Calum cut it into rectangles." I say. Ashton frowns even more, obviously still confused but he lets it go. Calum comes back with another fork and gives it to Ashton and he sits back down. We all eat our rectangular pancakes and Ashton and Calum share

Michael

After we all finish our pancakes or rectangles or whatever they are, we just sit on the couch watching TV.
"We should sing a song. We need to start banding more often." Calum says, breaking the silence.
"Banding?" I asks, frowning.
"Yes. Banding. Get with the program." Calum huffs and I raises my eyebrows.
We spend a couple hours 'banding' and Calum taught us all a song he wrote called Out of my Limit. Its a good song and banding is fun.
Now me and Luke are sat in the kitchen eating chips and being bored.
"MICHAEL AND LUKE ME AND ASHTON ARE PLAYING MONOPOLY. DO YOU WANNA PLAY?" Calum yells.
"NO. THAT GAME TAKES TO LONG. AND STOP YELLING." I yell back.
"FINE" Calum yells.
After a couple more minutes of eating chips in silence I come up with an idea.
"Wanna go for a walk?" I ask Luke and he raises his eyebrows.
"Its almost 11pm." He says, frowning.
"That's the fun of it." I say, smiling. Luke smiles back.
"Yeah. I guess that'll be fun. Sure." He says. We both walk to the front door only to be stopped by Calum.
"Where are you going? It's late." Calum says, frowning.
"We're going on a walk." I reply.
"It's supposed to rain though!" Calum says.
"Rain won't kill us. You are not my mom. You can't tell me what to do, I'm punk rock." I say, frowning at Calum.
"Ugh fine. Be safe. Don't get hit by a car." Calum says, going back to his monopoly game with Ashton.
"Okay let's go." I say, leading Luke outside and shutting the door behind us and we start walking down the sidewalk.
"You're a good singer." Luke says, walking beside me.
"You are too. You could actually make it in the music industry, you're amazing." I say, truthfully.
"Thanks but you seriously are really good." Luke replies, biting his lip.
"I've never been very good at anything, so that's hard to believe." I say almost in a mumble.
"That's not true. You are great at music, and dying your hair and making square pancakes." Luke says making me laugh.
"The square pancakes were pretty good though." I laugh, looking at the ground.
We keep walking and we get to a park bench and sit down.
"You and Calum are actually the first friends I've made in years. Ashton was my only friend for a long while." Luke says.
"Same with you and Ashton for me. I've never been good at socializing." I say, laughing slightly. "I'm glad I met you at band camp though, if I didn't I'd still be locked in my room all day doing nothing."
"I'm glad I met you too." Luke says, quietly, his voice tone different. A minute later it starts raining.
"It's raining." Luke says.
"I've noticed." I laugh, looking at him. He smiles. I try not to look at his lips, but it's nearly impossible seeing how much I want to kiss him.
I almost lean in as Luke does the same but I catch myself and turn away.
"We should go. It's still raining." I say, faking a smile and getting up.
Luke lingers on the bench, looking at the ground for a minute before getting up.
"Yeah we should." Luke says, quietly.
We both start walking back. I wish I could kiss him so bad. But something in me is still stopping me. If we start dating, then my life will be over. When he leaves me I wouldn't be able to take it. If I never date him he can't break up with me. It's better this way.
We get back to my house without another word and go inside.
"I told you guys it would rain. You are both very wet." Calum says. Him and Ashton are sitting on the couch now so they probably finished monopoly.
"Stop acting like my mom it's annoying." I say, sitting on the couch. Calum just shakes his head.
"I'm gonna go home. I'll see you guys tomorrow or something." Luke says, the same quiet voice as before.
"Okay, bye Luke!" Calum says as Luke leaves and shuts the door behind him.

Luke

Michael obviously doesn't like me. I need to find a way to get over him. How could I let myself fall for someone who doesn't like me?
Getting over Michael Clifford cant be that hard can it?
Oh who am I kidding?
There's no way to get over him.
