I get into the stance I was once taught as Jonah sized me up, watching my every move.

" Wait for your opponent to attack first" I remember from my lessons.

I take a deep breath as Jonah attempts to punch me and I quickly block it. This continues for a while before I start to get bored.

" Take advantage of the situation, make them bored of your defence before you quickly attack"

I punch Jonah in the stomach and before he has any time to react I kick him. He grabs my leg and flips me over, before throwing more punches and me blocking them.

" Make sure your kicks are quick so your opponent doesn't have enough time to grab it"

I guess I failed that one.

Jonah gets up and releases me. " You're quite good," He says.

Wow he's actually praising me. Huh.

" Thanks," I say, out of breath.
" Who taught you?"
His eyes were looking straight into mine, trying to pry an answer out of me.
" Just someone I used to know,"

" A name?" He asks.
" An ex boyfriend," I say.

He looks at me, trying to take in what I just said. " I see.." He simply says, before leaving the room.

" Ugh," I say out loud to myself. As I start to walk out of the room I see some punching bags and to be honest I need to let off some steam.

Each blow on the punching bag takes me back to when I was thirteen, probably one of the best years of my life, I had my family, I had a boyfriend who loved me, and taught me how to fight.

Sure, thirteen is too young for a intense relationship, but the guy I was with made me so happy, we loved each other way too much. But I never really knew him until I was 15, when my life changed for the worse.

" Are you okay?" I hear an unfamiliar voice ask.

I then realise I have tears streaming down my face.

" Please go,"
" Yeah I'm not leaving you here," He says while walking towards me.
" Who are you anyway?" I ask, turning away. " I'm Jonah's brother, Jason, and I'm visiting for a week. He grins as I turn.

Damn. Good looks must run in the family.

" Now tell me what's wrong," He asks.
I don't know why but I feel like I can trust Jason. Sure he could go to his brother and tell but something tells me he won't.

Also I think I'm going to die if I don't tell someone.

" Ugh where do I begin?" I say while rolling my eyes with a hint of a smile on my face.
" You could start with your name?" He suggests.

" I'm pretty sure your brother must have introduced me as Ivy Kingston, but I'm not who you think I am, please don't tell anyone, but my name is Quinn Adley, and I'm 21 years old..." I begin, then I tell him how everything went downhill from the very beginning, until now where I have created my identity as Chloe Kingston.

After around an hour, I finally finish my 'life story' and Jason stares at me with utter fascination. " But why would you hide that from the world?" He asks.

" Because I'm scared," I whisper, my somewhat protective shell breaking around me.
" Scared of what?"
" Scared of everyone else," I whisper again.
" What do you mean?"
" You don't understand how my family treated me after that, I don't want anyone hurting me or Valentina," I cry as he holds me.

It's kinda stupid. I just met Jason and I'm here crying while hugging him. " Y'know you don't have to try and be tough," Jason says.
" Y'know, you don't even know me," I laugh.
" Yeah but you're lucky that I'm a good listener," He winks as I giggle.

Later that evening, I'm sat on the couch with Valentina watching Moana. " Look Ivy! Maui's turned into a half shark half human!" She laughs with delight, while stuffing her face with popcorn.

" I know it's funny isn't it?" I laugh back.
Jason's sat next to me laughing as well as we both eat popcorn. " So Jason, what's your story," I ask in curiosity.

He smiles and says," Well, me and Jonah are twins actually, although he's the older on by like a minute, which is very annoying"
" Tell me about you," I ask.

" Well, I was the outgoing kid for most of my life, then things happened, and well Jonah kind of separated himself, we used to be very close, now we're just....meh," He trails off.
" Oh...," In am attempt to lighten things up I ask," Any girlfriends?"
" I had one...and she...I...we broke up in the end, she decided it was too much for her and prefers to be alone," He says.

At that moment Jonah walks in, with a calm stride and sits down next to Jonah. " What we watching?" He asks.
Never seen him be so...calm.
" Moana!" Valentina grins while sitting on Jonah's lap.

Jonah is taken aback from Valentina's actions but then lets her lean on him for the rest of the movie...which was...sweet.

Once the movie was over, I sent Valentina upstairs to sleep since she had already had an early dinner, while I sat with the boys for our dinner.

" So...how long are you staying Jason?" I ask, trying to get rid of the awkward atmosphere since no one was saying a word.
" It depends really, probably around 2 weeks or so," He replies, while Jonah remains silent.

" Am I going to stay here forever or will me and Valentina move somewhere else while in the gang?" I ask Jonah, this question has been bugging me for ages.
" You'll be staying here," He says without another word.

After we finish, Jason and Jonah leave together because Jonah wanted to talk to him. I go up to my room and lay down, struggling to sleep for no apparent reason.

I hear the door creak open and someone walk in, so I pretend to sleep. " I'm sorry I'm not the guy you would want me to be.." a voice says that I quickly recognise as Jonah's.

Then he gives a light peck on the cheek and leaves.

What was that?

Fun Fact: Valentina was supposed to be 11 but then I decided 6 for the story.
