NCIS: Ellie Bishop Re-Imagined Discontinued

Chapter 5 - Sore

 Chapter 5:

***4:30 am*** 

Bishop woke up a whole hour before her alarm was supposed to go off. Thinking she should get ready early so that she could deal with her sore black eye. She carefully got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. "Remember me for centuries!..." Singing in the shower to ease her mind. Centuries by Fall Out Boy. "Got a whole lot of love..." Now or Never by Halsey. 

***5:00 am***

Stepping out of the shower she went to pick out a comfy outfit. She looked through her closet, not knowing what to where, but her thoughts went back to Jake. "How did I let him punch me!? I let my emotions get the best of me." She turned around, fell the length of the wall and cried, which really hurt for her eye. After a few minutes, she picked herself up and picked out an outfit.

***5:15 am*** 

What she chose to wear was a black hoodie, white tank top, jeans, and high top converse. She was going to wear her "nerd" glasses to try to cover up the black eye. She has also chosen some smokey eye makeup to hide the black eye, but you can still see it. Her hair is tied up into a ponytail, and she has her backpack, that has her laptop and phone in it. Ellie feels that she is ready to head out. She thought she would head in early to get some work done. She grabs her gun, badge & creds and heads out.

 ***5:30 am*** 

She heads to NCIS and is not going to stop at any costs. She parks her truck, hops out and plugs her earbuds in to listen to some music. "We found love in a hopeless place... in a hopeless place." We Found Love by Rihanna. "Pop it for me... Drop it for me... Got if you want it, take my water if you want." That's What I Like by Bruno Mars. She kept her spirits high as she walked up the stairs, to start work.

***5:45 am***

She decided she would do Tony and McGee"s status reports when she got out of the elevator. Listening to the music of course. She pulled the strings of her hoodie, so it covers the bottom of her face. She also made to make sure that, she kept her head down. It was 6:00 am before Gibbs came and sat at his desk. Being Gibbs, he had a cup of coffee in his hands. By then, she had McGee's case report done and halfway through Tony's. 

"I am hungry." Bishop thought to herself. "I'm going to head to the break room to get a snack. Want anything?" She asks Gibbs. "No, but I will take another coffee." He says throwing his empty cup in the trash. Ellie puts McGee finished case file on his desk, with a note saying that she finished it for him. She picks up Tony's and brings it with her to the break room.

***Break Room***

She grabbed some puffy Cheetos and got Gibbs his coffee dropping it off and coming back to the break room. In the break room, she got to work finishing up Tony's status report. She finished it 10 minutes later. She finished up her snack and headed back to the bullpen. 

***Bullpen***

Bishop put the status report on Tony's desk with the same note as McGee's. It was now 6:30 am and Tony & McGee stroll in, like their usual selves fighting over movies, Tony having to explain it to McGee. You know the norms. "Hey Ellie, ... What happened to your face?" Tony asks pulling the hoodie string to show my black eye. "I uh - uh walked into the walk at - at home..." McGee comes and looked at my face "Yah, that does not look like you walked into the wall. It looks like you were punched." Gibbs comes over and gives his stare Tell them already, let them help you. 

 ***Elevator***

"Um, fine Gibbs you win." I turn to Gibbs and head to the elevator, pulling the 3 of them along. She pushed them into the elevator and flips the emergency button. Taking a breath she pulls a tissue of her bag and wipes all of her makeup off and shows her very swollen black eye. "Damn. Ellie what the hell happened to you to get that big of a black eye!" Tony asks as he looks over the bruise. 

Starting from the being, with the Gut feeling at 4:30 in the morning. "I saw Jake, at the girl's murder and he looks right at the camera." She then told them about the coffee shop and that was why she was late. By now, she had some tears in her eyes. Gibbs came over and started to comfort her while McGee acted like What the heck has happened? and Tony was wanting to hurt who hurt Ellie. Ellie acted like a little sister to him. 

Then she started talking about how she knew that he, her ex-husband, was the murderer. That's why she fell backward and then having Abby confirm it that was her last straw. She started sobbing and fell to her knees. The rest of the team sat down with her Gibbs and Tony each had an arm around her with McGee in the front. "Then when I was pissed yesterday, I walked into the parking lot and felt someone was watching me, so I went to grab my gun when I turned around and Jake was standing there drunk. I took a step back and he punched me knocking me out for an hour."

McGee looked over to Gibbs and said: "You knew this and didn't tell us?" "We could have prevented the black eye," Tony adds pissed at the world. Ellie looks at them and said, "Gibbs didn't know about the black eye." "If I did I would have punched, him in the eye," Gibbs said pulling Ellie into a hug. Tony and McGee joined the hug making it one, big group hug. "I am going to fix this," Gibbs says breaking the hug...

What will Gibbs do? Do Tony and McGee help him out? Did Ellie do the right thing?
