I'm sitting on the front porch swing, waiting for Brantley to get back because he told me to wait.

It's been around ten minutes, and he confiscated my phone which I don't mind, because all of this shit going on is just bringing more stress and Brantley already told me I don't need more stress..

And it's crazy.

I keep waiting on news about my apartment from my dad, but apparently Brantley told Jason to tell my father not to text me, and so I'm figuring that's why I haven't gotten any news yet.

I snap out of my thoughts as Brantley comes walking back, with a shit eating grin spread across his face, and I shake my head, slipping back on my flip flops, and walking towards him.

"Why do you have a shit eating grin all over your face?"I Ask And he grabs my casted hand.

"because i can."He remarked, before the two of us start walking, and i look around to find the scenery amazing..

"this is amazing.."i look around, and catch brantley's smile, "thank you darlin'."

as we walk around, a melody starts to get stuck in my head, and i find brantley with an arm around my waist.

"what's got the pretty little head of yours thinking?"Brantley asks and i shrug.

"i've got a melody stuck in my head, but it's a depressing song."I laugh a little, and brantley shakes his head.

"what are the lyrics?"He questions, and i start to replay them over and over again, til i start singing.

"long were the nights
when my days
once revolved around you
counting the footsteps,
praying the floor
won't fall through
again.

oh my mother accused me
of loosing my mind
but i swore i was fine."

"that's all i've got."I shrug, and brantley rubs my arm, as we reach back to the house, and we sit on the swing.

"it's good carter."brantley mumbles, kissing the top of my hair, and i lay my head on his shoulder.

we stay like this for awhile, until sundown at least, and finally i look up at brantley, for him to look down at me, and his eyes flicker back and forth to my lips, and my eyes.

it's like a trance, and you can't break out of it.

finally, i look down at my lap, only for brantley to lift my chin up, and i stare into his green eyes...

and the next thing i know, our lips are connected together.

our lips move in sync, and his hands wrap around my waist, while mine wrap around his neck.

it was one of the best kisses i've ever had.

and sadly it had to end.

our lips disconnect, and i'm lifted onto his lap, and i lay my head on his shoulder.

oh boy am i in trouble.
