A Champion's Tale || Pokémon XY and Z [BOOK ONE]

1 || Alola, Kalos Region

        After a long boat and plane ride, Zelenia's plane finally landed in Kalos Region. She winced slightly from the brightness of the sun due to her long nap. Talus and Darwin hopped onto her shoulders, tails wagging, as she walked down the stairs of the plane, reaching the ground. She breathed in the fresh and rolled her shoulders back.

"Alright guys, let's get going!" Zelenia mumbled walking towards the entrance to the airport.

Suddenly a loud voice drilled through her ears. She spun around to the sound to spot a boy with spiky black hair and brown eyes. He wears a blue collared shirt with short sleeves, darker blue jeans, a red and white hat and red high top sneakers. Perched upon his shoulders was a cute Pikachu.

          Pikachu is a short, chubby rodent Pokémon. It is covered in yellow fur with two horizontal brown stripes on its back. Its small mouth opens as it trills. Its long, pointed ears with black tips are folded back slightly as its brown eyes looks around. The two red circles on its cheeks contain pouches for electricity storage. It clings onto its trainer's shoulders with its short forearms with five fingers on each paw, and its feet each have three toes. The base of its moving lightning bolt-shaped tail is a patch of brown fur.

          The two looked like they were very good buddies. With his arms stretched, he yelled out to the crowd, "HEY, KALOS REGION! ASH FROM PALLET TOWN IS FINALLY HERE!"

          Zelenia chuckled lightly as his personality reminded her slightly of Hau. Suddenly a woman with brown hair, like her eyebrows, appeared from the door behind Ash as her green eyes looked to him in amusement. Her hair is collected and with a tuft of hair that protrudes from her forehead. She wears a tight black and red shirt, and the collar and cuff are white. She also wears tight gray pants, brown boots and a fancy pack worn around the waist, where she keeps her Poké Balls. She also wears two yellow earrings and has red nail polish on her fingers. Resting on her shoulder was a Helioptile.

Helioptile is a small, lizard-like Pokémon. It has a tapering tail, short legs, and small feet with three pointed toes on each foot which helps it cling onto it's trainer's shoulder. Its body is pale yellow, while its feet and the tip of its moving tail are black. The top of its head is black as well with a small triangular yellow patch between the eyes. It has two long, black pointed frills with yellow tips hanging from the sides of its head, which can stiffen and unfold. These frills have cells which generate electricity when exposed to sunlight. It has large eyes with blue irises and white pupils that look to the boy and his partner.

          "What's with all the yelling?" the brunette asked.

"Just saying 'hiya' to the Kalos Region," the boy replied as he looks back at her, "and as soon as I walk down these steps, we'll finally be here!"

"Pikaa!" his Pikachu nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, the boy sees some new Pokémon that he'd never seen before, and Zelenia follows his gaze in the direction and immediately recognizes them as Spritzee. It is a small bird-like Pokémon. It is covered in fluffy pink feathers, and on its face it bears a white beak-like mask. It's eyes are large and red-orange in color, with thick black eyelashes. It's short fluffy wings flap to keep it aloft. It has a curled tuft of pink feathers atop is head. Below it's tiny body it has two small purple feet. 

          "Never seen those Pokémon before," but his curiosity causes him to slip on the steps and land on his back, knocked out.

Zelenia gasps, worrying for the boy as she rushes to his side with Talus and Darwin hanging on. "Are you alright?" she asked, her eyebrows knitted together in concern. His Pikachu immediately runs to his side, shaking his body.
