I woke up with a start. I looked around my room. Something moved, "Lexi?" It moved again. I sat up, "Lexi? If that's you then this isn't funny." Something landed on my bed. Katherine. I smacked her arm, "Gosh, Katherine. Do you find it funny scaring the crap out of me?" She smiled, "Only a little. So, how have you been?" I shrugged, "Could be better and could be worse. So, I'm halfway there. Oh, and Damon completely turned off his humanity. What could go wrong now?" She laughed, "Good. This Damon was starting to bore me." I smacked the back of her head, "I'm being serious Kat." She rubbed her head, "Me too. By the way, shouldn't you be getting ready for school?" I jumped up, "I need to call Elena and ask her for a uniform for practice! Mine... Drowned..." Katherine rolled her eyes, "Why don't I go get you one, speedy quick?" I shrugged, "Sure. Do you need money?" She laughed, "Who said I was paying for it?" She walked to my window, "I'll be back in around thirty minutes. Give or take." I waved to her as she left. I got out a white shirt with my name on it and put it on. Then I put on some blue jeans. I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs, after brushing my teeth.

"Good morning Stefan!" Stefan looked up from his spot at the table, "Yeah, it is. I was able to compel Vicki but I'm not sure if its effect is going to be lasting." I nodded, making myself a coffee, "That's good... Kind of... Well, I'm going to be staying here another thirty minutes or so, but you can leave if you want. I can walk. Or steal Damon's car. Its a nice car." Stefan shook his head, "One day, you're going to get arrested." I nodded like a mad man, or in my case woman, "Yup! But you're going to come bail me out!" He grabbed his keys and shook his head, "Yes, I will, unless you got arrested for flashing." I threw an apple at him, "I'm not a slut!" He held his hands up and walked out the front door. I sat on the couch, drinking coffee, eating a bagel (yes, I still have some) and waiting for Kat to bring me my outfit. The door opened and I jumped up. Then, I sat back down sadly as I realized it was only Damon. He smirked, licking some blood from the corner of his lip, "Aren't you excited to see me?" I rolled my eyes, "I'm waiting for Kat." He frowned, "Why? Are you on a suicide mission or something?" I shook my head and finished my bagel.

The door opened and I ran to Katherine, "Thank God! What did you get me?" She handed me a bag, "Sorry. I took so long... Breakfast didn't come fast enough." I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, yeah. Can you give me a ride to school?" She rolled her eyes but nodded. When we were in the car, she handed me something. It was almost an exact replica of the necklace that Stefan was giving Elena tomorrow. Yup, he asked for my approval. I looked at it, "Thanks Kat. Is it vervain?" She nodded, "Here. This too." She handed me a cameo charm. My eyes widened as I saw that it was the one I had found at the beach. I stuttered, "K-Kat... Wh-Why are you giving me this?" She shrugged, "Just in case. If you're ever turned and its daylight, I don't want you to catch on fire and die. I know its really old but its the best I could do for now." I smiled, "That must mean a lot coming from you." She turned into the school parking lot, "Yeah... Well, me and you are family now. I'm like your big sister." I nodded, "Yeah. Well I need to go. See you." She waved, "Have fun at cheer leading practice." Somehow I had a feeling that I wouldn't.

I got out of the car and saw Bonnie walk awkwardly away from Stefan and Elena. I frowned, knowing this was about the feeling she got after touching Stefan. I sighed and walked up to them. I asked Elena, "How's Jeremy?" She shrugged, "Still pretty bad." I blew out a breath of air, "Well, how about Matt?" She grimaced, "I actually don't know. I haven't talked to him since last night. I wonder if Vicki knows what attacked her?" I looked at Stefan and he shot me a look. I sighed, "Yeah." Elena nodded and then went to find Matt. When she was out of sight, I smacked Stefan up top his head, "Why didn't you tell her?!" He sighed and fixed his hair, "Katherine compelled her to forget about vampires." I gasped, "Why?" He shrugged, "I don't know but now I'm just waiting for the perfect time to break it to her." I placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's okay. She'll understand." He furrowed his brows, "Where did you get that necklace? Is that mine?" I grabbed my necklace and shook my head, "No. Katherine gave it to me. For some weird reason, she and I are friends." He shook his head, "Be careful. She might be using you." I shrugged, "Doesn't seem like it. Any-who, I need to get to class." I left without waiting for a reply.
