Shopping Trip Of Shock

(Damon's P.O.V)

I had to get away. Elena was crying as if her parents died again and Stefan was still standing there, where we last said goodbye. It was an emotional wreck. It was worse than the Titanic crash. So I excused myself and went for a walk. Don't get me wrong, I miss her already, but she would surely visit when she turned eighteen. Right? Suddenly, I heard... Screams? Where were they coming from?

I ran to the bridge to see a big splash and part of the bridge missing. A crash. Normally, I wouldn't care but it felt weird, for some reason. I jumped into the water and saw a car. Ella's car. I swam down to it and smashed the window with my elbow. I grabbed Ella, trying to get her out without hurting her with the glass from the window. She was already unconscious. I swam up to the surface, as fast as I could.

I laid her gently on the bridge and checked for a pulse. It was barely there. I picked her up and ran (with my vampire speed) to my house. I burst through the door and saw Elena and Stefan on the couch, completely quiet. "Hey, you two? A little help?" Stefan was the first to run over to me,"What happened?" I shrugged,"Car went off the bridge, I went down to save her. She barely has a pulse, so help." Stefan put her on the couch and then bit down on his wrist. Elena gasped,"What are you doing? How is biting yourself going to help her?" I shot her a look that said, Just shut the hell up, already! Stefan put his wrist in her mouth,"Come on, swallow. She's- She's swallowing!" I grabbed her wrist,"Her pulse is getting stronger. Give her more blood." Stefan nodded and bit down on his wrist again. Elena was seriously freaking out now,"Why is his blood helping her? Someone tell me what's going on!" I ignored her. Ella started coughing up water. "More blood, Stefan. Hurry!"

Her color was returning, she was almost fully restored to health. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around. Then she hugged me and started crying. Near death experiences can mess you up. I would know that. Thanks for that one, daddy dearest!

(Ella)

I hugged Damon. I already knew he was the one that saved me. "Where's my parents?" Damon sighed,"Still underwater. Probably dead." I nodded. Hey don't judge. They were so mean. It's their own faults. They were the ones who forced me to leave. I got up and hugged Stefan. He pushed me away, a little and wiped my chin. Blood. "You gave me your blood?" He nodded and hugged me. "Thank you." After a minute or so, I went to hug Elena. She hugged me back but asked,"Why did his blood heal you?" I stayed quiet for a while,"He has a special type of blood. He is a regular donor at the hospital because if patients who are sick use it, it kills the bad cells." I almost believed myself. Elena nodded,"That's cool. I wish my blood could do that." I felt really bad. I looked up and locked eyes with Stefan. He nodded as a sign of approval. I sighed and went to sit down.

Damon handed me a cup of hot chocolate. "Thanks." The hot chocolate warmed my insides. It felt nice. "So what do we do about my parents? Do we report an accident?" Stefan nodded,"I already did. They don't know you were in there so don't tell them anything. If anyone asks, they have your stuff because they were bringing it from your old house." I nodded and memorized the story. I was going to be doing a lot of lying about what happened.

There I was, sitting in front of the fire place, drinking hot cocoa when Damon sat next to me,"I can get the necklace back from Elena, if you want." I shook my head,"No. I'll just drink it? That works too, right?" He nodded,"I'd rather have you wear it. It works better." I sighed and leaned into him. "I knew you would save me." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder,"How so?" "I had a... Dream. More like a nightmare. There was a car. It slid off the bridge. Then you appeared and pulled Elena out. But when we were driving down the bridge, I realized it wasn't Elena. It was me." Damon moved my hair from my face,"Now, why did you have that dream?" I shrugged,"That's what I want to know."
