I ran around, grabbing all my stuff. I had another nightmare last night and I couldn't wake up from it. I ran downstairs and saw Stefan leaving. I gaped at him, "Seriously?!" He shrugged, "I tried waking you up." I sighed, grabbed a muffin and ran into the passenger seat of his car. I ran a hand through my hair, trying to get the tangles out. I ate my muffin and threw the wrapper on the floor of Stefan's car. He smacked my arm, "I try to keep this car clean, you know?" I nodded, "Exactly why you should buy me a car. Not just any car, but a blue '67 Chevy Impala SS." Stefan gave me a look, "Since when do you know about cars?" I shrugged, "I don't but I fell in love with this car when I saw it on Supernatural and I thought about how it would look a light blue color and, ta-da, my dream car!" Stefan nodded, "That's cool. But you realize that show is completely inaccurate. Have you seen the vampire one?" I nodded, "That one is one of my favorite episodes!" He sighed, "You're missing the point. Take a look at those vampires and then take a look at us, my brother and I. See the difference?" I looked at him, "Yeah... Sadly." He looked at me, "What was that?" I laughed, "Nothing. Nothing at all." He rolled his eyes, "And to think that I was considering buying you that car you wanted." My eyes widened, "No, no, no, no! I said you look pretty today! Please buy me the car!" He smiled, "I'll ask Lexi first." I pouted, "Why? All she's been doing is sleeping lately!" He shrugged, "She barely obtained a sunlight ring a while ago so she's still in the same routine as she had been for a long time." I frowned, "Well, we should go to the grill tonight! I'll meet up with Matt there and I can introduce him to you and Lexi!" He nodded, "Sounds like a plan."

I ran to my locker and quickly got out all of my books that I would need for history. I sighed, remembering how Damon killed Mr. Tanner. I slammed my locker and saw Matt. "Hi." He smiled, "Hey." I shifted my feet, "So, um, would you want to meet up at the grill later? Maybe around seven?" He nodded, "Yeah, sure." I smiled and walked with him to history. When we got in there, I took a seat and focused on a man writing his name on the board, "Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know." He turned around and I furrowed my brows as he began talking. I got some weird vibes from him. He knew. About vampires and everything. I'd been getting these vibes off of everybody since I started having nightmares. But he, he had another vibe too. One that seemed familiar. I gasped inwardly as I realized that I had felt it from my parents before. It felt like the vibes of a hunter. I squeezed my eyes shut and blinked away the feeling. Mr. Saltzman was passing around papers and reviewing everything Mr. Tanner had taught us. Not long after, the bell rang but I stayed in my seat. Mr. Saltzman came to my desk, "Miss, um, Gomez. The bell rang." I stood up, "I know. But I'm pretty sure you know some stuff too. Do I really need to explain?" He gulped, "I really don't know what you're talking about Miss Gomez." I rolled my eyes, "Okay then. Let me spell it out for you. V-a-m-p-i-r-e." He looked around the room, "How do you know?" I sat back down, "I'll answer that question, if you answer a few of mine. How do you know? What kind of hunter are you?" He sat in the desk in front of me, "I saw a vampire kill my wife. I still remember his face. It haunts me all the time." I smiled sympathetically, "I'm sorry." He smiled back, "Its okay. Because I hunt vampires and I will find this guy and I will kill him. But not before I kill you." He grabbed a stake and I caught it, "Dude! I'm not a vampire! I just happen to be friends with some. Calm down! Not all vampires are evil, anyways." He sighed and dropped the stake, "Sorry. But I saw one kill my wife. I kind of expect vampires to evil. How do you know about them?" I rolled my eyes, "I just said that I'm friends with some, who happened to have saved my life on quite a few occasions. Just a warning, Mr. Saltzman. If you kill my friends, I will get my revenge. Nice meeting you." I waved my fingers and walked into the hallway, shocked at how courageous I was.

I walked up to Matt after school, "Hi. Just came to say that I'll see you later." He smiled, "Yeah. Seven, right?" I nodded and waved bye as Stefan pulled up. I got into the car and Stefan had a weird smile on his face. "What?" He smiled again, "You like Matt." I blushed a little, "Yeah, so? You like Elena." He shrugged, "Yes, but I have liked Elena for a while and you have liked Matt since yesterday." I shrugged, "So? Oh, by the way, be at the grill by seven. And you mister, need to be careful. I found out that the new history teacher is a vampire hunter and apparently his wife was killed by one." He nodded, "I'll be sure to talk to him later." My eyes widened, "Did you not hear what I just said?! Vampire hunter! He tried to stake me earlier, what's he going to do to you?" He shrugged, "You seem to have forgotten that I'm a vampire. I'm stronger than him." I laughed, "Yeah, sure. But I'm coming with you." He rolled his eyes, "Fine. But don't tell anyone." I crossed my heart and we drove off to the house.
