The days that passed by were long and hard. School was starting today. Damon was still mad at me. Well, it's too late if he forgives me. I'm done. He's been toying with girls left and right, now. I came home the other day to find three girls in the living room dancing. They had numerous bite marks on their bodies. It was a horrid site. I sighed, grabbed my bag and shrugged on a black jacket. Yes, it's true. I had become more depressed since the incident. No, we never officially broke up, but I already knew. Damon really thought I had kissed Matt. As for Vicki, Damon compelled her and made her go home, but I knew it wasn't the last I would be seeing her. I sighed and walked down the stairs, "Hey." Stefan looked up, "Hey. I made some waffles. Want some?" I shook my head. Stefan frowned, "I know you didn't eat dinner last night. You must be hungry. We're not leaving until you eat at least three waffles." I looked down. Was this really what it was coming to? Letting myself starve and fade away? I sat at the table and Stefan put down a plate with five small waffles. My stomach growled and I ate one. And then another. And then another. And so on until I ate all five. I put the plate in the sink and walked to the door. Stefan grabbed his keys and followed me. "Hey Stef. Can I drive?" He looked at me, "Hm... No." I pouted but got in the passenger side. I sifted through my bag and got my phone out and took a picture of Stefan. Then I sent it to Elena, 'Me: When your bf had this face on, he's pmsing!' I laughed and put my phone away. Stefan turned to look at me, "What did you do?" I laughed again, "Just shut up and drive. I'm not going to tell you." He glared at me and finished driving to the school.

When we got out of the car, I was met by the stares of many people. I could hear them talking, "Is that Elena?" or "Damn! That new guy is hot but he's already taken!". I looked up at Stefan, "Not bad, huh?" He shrugged, "I've had better and worse." I smiled and walked into the school. I followed Stefan to the front office where we got our schedules and Stefan had to compel the office lady to get into the school because apparently he forgot about adding a birth certificate to his registration and yada yada yada. I looked at my schedule and saw I had home room with a Mr. Tanner. I looked at Stefan, "Who do you have for homeroom?" He looked at his schedule, "Tanner." I smiled, "Me too. Let's go find Elena." We found Elena at her locker. She gave me a knowing smile and started talking to Stefan. I turned and saw Jeremy going into the bathroom. I elbowed Elena lightly, "He looks stoned." Elena sighed and went into the bathrooms. I blew out a breath of air and looked at Stefan, "Wow... Drama! Love it, don't you?" He laughed, "Glad to see you acting like your normal self." I shrugged, "If It's moved on, then I should too." Stefan frowned, "It?" I smiled, "I refuse to say the 'D' word. It hurts." Stefan placed a hand on my shoulder, "I'm sorry that It is such a douche." I smiled, "It's okay. It's not your fault." Then, Elena came out of the bathroom, furious. I grimaced. Oh Jeremy, what the hell did you do?

I was now in history with Mr. Tanner. Elena and Stefan we in this class too. "Ms. Gomez?! Why aren't you paying attention?!" I grimaced, "I told you, my name isn't Gomez anymore! Its Gilbert!" He smacked the board, "I asked you a question after half of the class couldn't answer it! The battle of Willow Creek happened right here in our very Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle?! Hmm? Answer!" I shrugged, "I'm guessing a large number between 0 and infinity." The class laughed. Mr. Tanner groaned, "How come none of you know this?" Stefan cleared his throat, "There were 346 causalities, unless your counting civilians." Mr. Tanner clapped, "That's correct, Mr?" Stefan sat up, "Salvatore." Mr. Tanner arched his neck, "Salvatore? Any relation to the original settlers here in Mystic Falls?" Stefan smiled, "Distant." Mr. Tanner nodded, "Ah, well, very good, except that there were no civilian casualties in this battle." Stefan smiled, "Actually there were 27 civilian casualties. Confederate soldiers fired on the church believing it to be hiding weapons, but they were wrong. It's a night of great loss. The founders records are stored in civil hall if you want to brush up on your facts, Mr Tanner." The class snickered and I high-fived Stefan. Mr. Tanner scowled, "Very well, now we-" I droned him out and pulled out my phone and texted Bonnie, 'Me: Oh, snap!!! Stefan burned the teach good!' I hit send and Bonnie got out her phone and answered, 'B: Yeah! It ruled!' I smiled and we were texting the entire period.
