A gentle hand stretched out to her, offering some help. The girl's eyes trailed up to meet her helper's eyes.

He gazed back at her warmly, a kind smile decorated his godlike face.

It was as if she had been struck by an arrow, awestruck by his beauty.

Tenderly, she took his hand and his strong grip helped her up. She found herself still holding his hand as she stared at his deep, brown eyes, she didn't want to let go anyways.

His eyes crinkled as he let out a small chuckle, the girl seeming to amuse him.

Snapping back to reality, the girl pulled her hand out of his grip, the redness on her cheeks blended well with the blush newly appearing.

"Are you okay?"

The girl nodded in instant reply to his question, the soft hair of her bangs bouncing with every nod.

"That's good," he grinned, flashing his perfectly lined teeth, "What's your name?"

"Halei," she breathed, a cloud of warm air escaping her lips into the cold atmosphere.

"It's nice to meet you, Halei," the corners of his mouth lifted into a light smile at the mention of the girl's name, "my name is-"

"Ugh," Meirong groaned as a loading sign appeared on her phone's screen.

She was comfortable in a nest of blankets and pillows, doing her daily activities of binge watching dramas. Her day was going smoothly until the internet decided to lag, again.

Not so patiently, Meirong stared at the buffering screen of her device.

You had to start loading right when it was getting good, she mentally scolded her phone.

Seeing that waiting was of no use, Meirong got out of her comfortable bed and searched for the WiFi router in her apartment.

For an unknown reason, Meirong has kept her router placed on the highest shelf in her living room.

Well it's about time we changed that, she thought as she dragged a chair from the kitchen and stood on it to retrieve the shiny, black device. She grinned triumphantly as she went back to her room, holding the internet router as if it were the source of life.

Meirong couldn't understand why haven't she done this before, but she sure felt accomplished as she placed the internet router on her desk.

Right beside her window.

Right beside her bed.

This way, she'll be granted super fast internet all the time.

Perfect, she grinned as she went back to her comfy mess of blankets, I can finally continue watching my drama.

Making herself comfy again, Meirong grabbed her phone and resumed her drama.

Just when she thought everything was going well, a loud crash echoed through her room.

Meirong snapped her head in the direction of the noise quick enough to see a white object fly across the room. Her eyes followed it as it bounced off the walls and headed straight towards her precious WiFi router, crashing into it before she could react. Meirong cried in horror as she saw her beloved router fly off her desk and hit the ground with a loud breaking noise. She gaped at the, now broken and shattered to pieces, device in mute stupor as a round object rolled to a stop near it. It all happened so quickly Meirong didn't have time to process the last few seconds.
