It was almost a peaceful day. Everyone was busy doing their own thing, and the only sound that occupied the area was the ringing of a telephone and the constant, monotonous clicks of a keyboard. (Name) was certainly focused on her work, sticking her nose deep into the investigation that she was assigned to do since a week ago or so — and Connor was idly watching her do just that.

Why was he just sitting there, you may ask?

God knows why.

"Where's my son?" A man was yelling from the counter back at the front of the police department. He repeated this statement over and over, and eventually his cries caught the attention of almost everyone that was within the vicinity.

Eventually, the man rushed passed security and looked around in an almost frantic fashion. His face was evident with some form of anxiousness and concern, although he didn't seem to know where to push these emotions to.

Connor turned around, his expression changing into one of scrutiny. Was he allowed inside, or did he barge in here? Perhaps this father was just an anxious young fellow, desperately searching for his son who may actually be here, but no one knew who he was, or who he was looking for (of course he was looking for his son — Connor is at least knowledgeable to know that — but there wasn't much clues as to what his name is).

He scanned the unfamiliar father who continued to rush passed policemen and policewomen, and deducted that the son's last name should be Jones, and that this father has no criminal records. That's a good father, having no problem with the law at all, but how did he raise his son? After all, it's insinuated that this boy is behind a glass container as of right now.

Somehow, the father made his way towards the desks where (Name) and Hank were working at. He went straight to (Name), considering that she was the only one who really paid attention to the man since he barged in here. Hank was ... just being himself, mumbling about how loud the guy was, and resorted back to his work as if the man was never there in the first place.

"I need to find my son, and— and I heard that he's in here. I .. I'm sorry for what he's done, I know that he's a good kid, and.. can I please talk to him? Just for a few minutes, please?"

(Name) looked over to Connor with a gaze that asks if it would be okay to let the father visit his son. Or maybe a look that attempts to say that.

Connor's LED flashed yellow for a few moments.

Connor turned to the father and explained that he should only come by during visiting hours, and that it wasn't visiting hours right now. This man didn't even bat an eye to the droid. It seemed that he had just shrugged him off like it was nothing, and that he let those words come in from one ear and out the other. Did he not hear him?

Whatever the case may be, (Name) took it upon herself to repeat what Connor had said, and the man seemed to have understood and apologized for his brash behavior and he grinned from ear to ear to show that he was sincerely apologetic and friendly. He, he didn't even listen to Connor, but he certainly listened to (Name). And again, this man didn't bother to bat an eye. It was as if he completely disregarded the android's existence.

And then, the man left.

The father returned at around 12:34 PM, looking more calm and composed compared to his last visit. (Name) turned her head to see the man talking to another police officer, and eventually the two individuals began walking towards another section of the building. She believed that the police officer was leading the man to a place where he could speak with his son, and so she thought nothing of it.
