third person POV;

Connor idly flicked a quarter coin back and forth. All he had brought with him to the station was a 1994 issued US quarter and a tie to be constantly secured in place. There was nothing much to do, after completing the meticulous workload that was assigned to him for the day.

"Oh, hey Connor."

Connor looked over and saw (Name) putting her bag down on her seat, as if she were letting the inanimate thing act as her substitute for the time being. For a moment, all he could do was stare.

"What are you doing here?" he managed to ask, purely out of curiosity.

"I was called in." she sighed, looking back at him. "Captain called for me to accompany you and Hank for a case you'll be assigned to do. Did you get it yet?"

"No, but Lieutenant was called to the Captain's office. He will, most likely, be receiving the news."

"Oh, alright then."

(Name) took a moment to look around the office. There wasn't much people occupying the vicinity, and she didn't mind at all. It was nice to have a quieter area to herself, with the company of Connor and Hank (and also the Captain, but she never particularly opened up to him).

"I'll be right back. I'm going to go get something to drink." was all she said to Connor, sparing him one last friendly glance at him before she took off.

Connor felt a little dispirited after (Name)'s parting, despite having only shared a few lines or so between one another. He found himself yearning to talk to her more, as if her voice soothed him. As if talking to her raised weights off his shoulders; the burdening feelings that he didn't even know he carried.

Unknowingly, he began to tap his fingertips against the desk, feeling unsure of what to do next. He spared another look towards the direction from where (Name) left to, and wondered when she would come back. Should he go and accompany her? There wasn't much to do from where he sat, anyways.

[ CHECK ON (NAME) ]
[ STAY PUT ]

Without sparing another second, he stood up from his seat and sauntered to where (Name) would presumably situate herself in. As he inched closer to his destination, he began to hear two people quarreling. He figured it was (Name) and Officer Reed doing what they always do - spar regularly over whatever comes to mind first. The two always seemed to find something to argue about, so it wasn't much of a surprise for Connor. At this point, the two may be eligible for a notable record of several complaints that would be filed to them due to their constant altercations.

At least they weren't reported for disciplinary issues, like someone in particular..

Connor seemed to smile at the thought.

"Oh, if it isn't the plastic prick." Reed spat, emphasizing 'plastic prick' in a nauseated nuance. It didn't take much for the corners of Connor's lips to tug downwards at his presence. As much as (Name) hated Gavin, there were some indications that Connor thought likewise.

"Hello, Officer Reed." Connor greeted. It was more of a habit than something he was willing to do at this point.

Connor reached out and gently took (Name)'s arm, slightly pulling her behind him. He looked at her for a moment and reassuringly smiled, to which she smiled back to.

"That's, uh, nice ass shirt you got there." Reed began, taking a step towards Connor. He took a moment to look at him from head to toe, judging him with half-lidded eyes. "But, Connor, there's a thin line between indie fashion and looking homeless. I'm sure your little android brain would know this better than I do."
