AM 08:16:17third person POV;
(Name) felt herself jolt without her knowing. A wave of fear seemed to coarse through her — enough to keep her awake. She blinked her eyes open, adjusting to the dark scenery, and had decided what had happened. She had a nightmare.
Her nightmares usually correspond with the events that had happened to her that day, but these nightmares only occur if the events recalled to that one time in which had affected her life since it had happened. She was ... devastated, to say the least, when she was reminded of the event.
She shifted in her bed, basking in the chilly air with ease. Was her window open? Perhaps it was.
(Name) took a moment to look around and recognize her surroundings. She was in a bedroom — her bedroom — and Connor seemed to be sitting on a chair nearby, as his familiar silhouette was idly positioned in that specific area — that and the fact that there was a glowing LED on his left temple.
She was ... at home.
It didn't take long for her emotions to finally catch up to her conscious state. And so the waterworks began.
The woman's distress seemed to have alarmed the idle droid who was only closing his eyes. He looked over to her, glancing thrice as he tried to process what was going on. He heard soft sniffles, and saw the woman aggressively wiping at her eyes — an action that had surely concerned and upset him all at the same time — which led him to believe that she, yet again, stumbled upon those 'upsetting visions' that she rambles on and on about every now and then. What were they called again? Evening-horses? That doesn't make sense, he thought.
His LED flashed from blue to a soft yellow, beginning to flicker insistently. Yes, of course — of course he would be concerned and worried. This should be normal for a deviant like him. It's only been a few months, and he's still learning how to feel these emotions. It's, it's normal to experience these conflicting senses in his programs. Most definitely. Surely.
His thoughts began to refocus on (Name), who was clearly panicked and unsure. Without hesitating, Connor stood up and went to (Name). What should he say? "Are you okay, even though you're clearly not?"
He sat down beside (Name) and reached his arm around her shoulders. He pulled her against him, letting her lean her head atop of his shoulders. She continued to weep silently, letting the tears cascade wherever it could fall upon. When did she last cry? It's happened for so long that Connor figured it would have just been a few nights ago.
She continued to cry and cry, but the room was silent. It was only her who was the source of all the noise, however quiet it may be.
Connor reached for the tissue box that sat at her bedside table and gave it to her. She accepted it and began to take a few tissues from the little box.
"Thank you, Connor."
He looked down at her and took a while to process those two, simple words. Thank you.
"Y- you're welcome." Connor replied. "Though ... I must suggest that you should take a break from police work. It seems to be the source of your evening-horses."
"They're called nightmares, Connor."
"Oh."
"I do like doing my job though." (Name) said, relieving a sigh. "I think the source of my nightmares come from something else."
"And what may that be?"
She fell silent at the enquiry.
"Your stress levels are increasing." Connor audibly noted.
