All are happy in Namni's household. The day after tomorrow is their day to rejoice. Pharaoh invites them on that day. But Asiya can not feel any thing. She only feels that marriage with the king will snatch her endless freedom in only a moment. But alas! this poor girl can not even think that this marriage will create more sufferings for her than she ever imagines.
On the day of invitation, Pharaoh greets the invitees. They then have a little conversation. The king always notices his futurs queen , Asiya. Even the patriarchal king has to admit secretly that the girl is beautiful. Her black hairs are like those black clouds in rainy season.Her eyes are also black and it seems like all sorrows are gathered in those beautiful pair of orbs.
Her slender form catches pharaoh's eyes. "She is a beauty, I must know her."Anmatre thinks.
At the end he gets a chance to be alone with Asiya.Anmatre chooses to talk with her directly. He asks her if she will be able to be a part of his life. " "Remember that palace is not that place where you can roam freely. You have to be restricted to go to many places in this palace."
"My fate!"thinks the poor girl."What sin have I performed to get such punishment from Amun?" She will wither if her freedom is snatched away from her. But who shall tell that to this man?
Asiya looks at her future husband. She gathers all her courages to face this man. "Shall not I even go to the garden or to the court room? I think as a queen I will also have some duty to perform....."
She trails away.Because the man infront of her shakes his head.Looking hard into her eyes, Anmatre says, "No, you shall only perform your duty towards me. That will be all. Because I am the Egypt. Performing your duty towards me means do so towards the kingdom. You shall make me happy. That will be your duty." This is his reply to her.And the Pharaoh does not even understand that by making this order he is doing wrong. Both to his queen and his kingdom.
"But am I not allowed to go to the garden in front of your palace.My Pharaoh?"Asks his future queen. "Yes, you are allowed."replies Pharaoh Anmatre, surprising Asiya with his curt reply.
Their marriage is held. Now Asiya is the queen of Egypt. But she does not want this caged life. All she wants is her freedom. And perhaps she will not be able to get it.
