Anmatre asks Aasar, "Do you love Nimia, Commander?"
" I do." Aasar confessess boldly.
This direct, simple confession of the commander shakes Pharoh from the core. He understands that love can not be hidden. It will come to the light one day. But one must have the courage to say it to his beloved. He looks at his wife. The woman is so soft and beautiful. But her eyes express the sorrows that she suppresses within.
Anmatre knows what he must do now. He goes to his queen and holds her right hand into his only hand, surprising Asiya. He confesses his love.
"Asiya, always know that I love you. Wherever you go, I will follow you. But please forgive me if I did wrong."Asiya is too surprise even to speak.
"I already forgive you. You did nothing wrong...."
But she can not finish her words. Anmatre covers her mouth with
his hand. Tears prick his eyes. Asiya wants to get lost forever in those beautiful orbs of her Pharaoh. Yes, her Pharaoh, nothing in the world will snatch him from her.
"Please Asiya! Don't lie to me by saying I did not wrong. I did wrong, the biggest wrong in my life. I raped you. And then I cut my hand. My right hand! With that one day I would hold you and the little human being growing inside you. But how will I hold the child, when he will come to me? Can you tell me Asiya?"
She can not say anything. Tears that pricked the eyes of her beloved, now get free. She wipes them with her finger. Showing her finger to him she tells him, "These tears tell me that you have become a pure man, Anmatre. Gods have pardoned you for your tears of repentance."
With that she kisses his forehead. He puts his forhead on her. But they are interrupted by the sound of clearing throat. Turning around they face a philospher Aasar. Aasar stares at them with a look that only suits a philosopher.
"What?" Anmatre asks the commander of Egypt, frowning at him.
" Amun be mercuful! What am I seeing? The Pharaoh have got closer to his queen! I must announce this news around the Egypt. I am going to announce that." Saying these words, Aasar turns towards Namni and his family. He opens his mouth may be to announce the news but Anmatre holds his mouth with his hand and panickedly says, "Hey, Aasar! Are you out of your mind? Declare one thing and I shall make your life hell. Please don't do that!"
Asiya laughs at that. She can not stop laughing. Holding Aasar's mouth in his hand, Anmatre fakes to hit Asiya.
She gets away from him. She tells Anmatre, "Now I must go. My Pharaoh! I am leaving you with your best friend."
With that Asiya leaves the place.
Smiling at her husband and the Commander of Egypt, her sister's future husband.
