Na'vi

English

---------------------------------------------

Tsu'tey felt the world around him go silent as the Olo'eyktan neckwear was removed from his person and transferred to Jake who glanced nervously between the right of passage jewelry and statue still na'vi standing beside him. The warrior didn't hear the cheers and chatter of his fellow clan, the speech that Jake was reciting of becoming a good leader for generations to come nor Mo'at who whispered how proud she was for the accomplishments that Tsu'tey mastered. But what made up from his lack of hearing was what his eyes saw. Or more like who he saw.

Olivia was already looking at Tsu'tey when his eyes honed in on her. Her face showed no happiness for the new Olo'eyktan (maybe because she wasn't actually part of the Omaticaya) nor did it show shock (almost as if she knew the outcome). One emotion that was clear was the sympathy she exchanged through her gaze with the warrior. He hated it.

Tsu'tey's ears fell back against the bare sides of his head as a sneer worked it's way onto his lips. It was bad enough that he lost everything he worked for to a dream walker (even though he found a friend in Jake) and now the last thing he wanted was to be babied and pitied by this insolent tawtute. Tsu'tey felt his temper increase until Jake turned to him with a large smile and a firm hand on his shoulder. "Firstly as the new Olo'eyktan, I would like to take an advisor who will help assist me into becoming the best leader that I can be for the Omaticaya- for this clan." Surprise was an understatement, Tsu'tey was bewildered. An advisor wasn't unheard of but the Omaticaya never saw use for one since future clan leaders were always trained by the current clan leaders. "Tsu'tey, brother- would you deliver me great honor as being my advisor?" Tsu'tey turned his widened eyes from Jake to the clan who were patiently waiting for his response.

Then his eyes met Olivia's once more. She seemed to be eagerly waiting for his decision as well as she grasped onto Kahiau's arm. And for some reason it was like (in Olivia's mind) that he was asking her for guidance (which was absurd because he would rather ask a prolemuris than a tawtute) but when she nodded her head at him- he reciprocated whether it was meant for her or for the waiting clan and Jake. But nonetheless, Tsu'tey nodded before regaining his voice. "I accept the offer of being your advisor. I will guide you, teach you what you need to know but I will not hold your hand nor coddle you- you are no child." Jake brought his fist into the air with a large smile while the clan whooped. "No need- I have Neytiri for that- OUCH!" Jake crooned at the pain coursing through his ear while Neytiri brought her hand away with a playful glare. "I am not your mother- but your mate."

Tsu'tey turned his attention away from the couple to peer towards the spot the female dreamwalker was only to find her and the male she was always with departing from the clan. "They are searching for a new home tree. It is tedious work and needs time to find." Mo'at who had been watching the warrior stare off at the duo in confusion stepped up beside him. "They are not Omaticaya or one of the people- why help us if they don't belong here?" Tsu'tey received a smack to his shaved head causing the braids that hung by his temple to jostle. "You speak of them as if they hadn't betrayed their own people to save the clan. Tsu'tey, this hatred is weighted deep within your soul and nothing could possibly get rid of the sorrows you possess but SEE- see that these dreamwalker's are here to help, to learn, to truly become apart of Eywa."

He knew she was right but his own ego and loss refrains him from fully accepting the remaining sky people. "You are troubled- I recommend you help assist Oliviaharper in finding a new home." Tsu'tey scoffed with a deep frown reminding Mo'at of a child who didn't get their way. "Do you not want your clan to have a home?"

"I do, it hurts me seeing our people without a home."

"Then you will accompany Oliviaharper and bring the Omaticaya safely home." Tsu'tey already regretted speaking out against Mo'at (he believed that if he held his tongue he wouldn't have had to join the female tawtute) but with his presence he would make sure the the empty headed dreamwalker's would not choose a new home tree that was low standard (the Omaticaya had gone through so much and deserved the best). "Yes, Tsahìk." Mo'at knew that this decision could end badly but if Eywa hinted that this was the right path then she would bare the weight of guidance. "Do help, Tsu'tey- not hinder." Tsu'tey watched as the Tsahìk went to join Jake and Neytiri who were currently bickering.

This chapter is short and I don't really like the way it came out. But oh well.

T R I V I A:

1. Who's the advisor?

2. What flower is encapsulated within Kahiau's armband?

3. What island does Kahiau come from?
