-----------------------------------------------------
Arrow after arrow, shot after shot- no matter how hard he tried the arrows just didn't seem to get any closer to the center of the target but rather further away until they completely missed and landed in the grass. "Again." Tsu'tey stood just a few feet behind Faho with his arms crossed over his wide chest with a critical eye as he watched his student yet again fail to get the arrow any farther past the outer ring of the target. "Again."
The warrior didn't know how long his patience would last as he watched for the tenth time that morning his students inability to hit the center of the target (or even the middle ring). Not to mention, the absence of a certain ill-mannered woman who had the nerve to rip his ears off the day before but not show up for their teachings that morning. "Again."
"The arrows are not getting any closer to the middle-"
"Again." Faho let out a sigh as he grabbed another arrow and positioned it within the notch of the bow. Tsu'tey turned his attention away from his student when an all-to-familiar figure approached. "I see you, Tsu'tey."
"I see you, Ahtsan." Both males came to stand side by side, their eyes watching the many failings of Faho's shooting. "How is your teaching coming along?" Tsu'tey didn't know whether he should laugh, degrade Faho for his lack of positive results or express his growing annoyance at the absence of his so-called 'teaching partner'. "Eywa is punishing me for something I have no clue of."
Ahtsan pursed his lips slightly, his ears flicking at the sound of Faho's arrow bouncing off the wooden edge of the target. "I see no Olivia- is she not teaching with you?" Oh how much the warrior wished that name wasn't brought up. "She has chosen to put herself before her student-"
"I'm sure that is not true-"
"It is! She is no different from the sky people who took away our home- our people!" Ahtsan narrowed his gaze towards Tsu'tey, finding the latter was already staring him down. "She cannot be judged by what her former people did. You know that, Tsu'tey."
"Former people-" Tsu'tey could not help but throw his head back in mock laughter which didn't set well with Ahtsan. "She has no former people- only what she is and what she will always be. A destructive, lying, murderer-" The other male was never one to show great emotions or any at all after the loss of his true love but hearing the false pretenses spew from someone he deemed a close friend about another who is innocent by the will of Eywa- it was rage inducing. "You speak as if she had wounded you, as if she had brought the destruction of our home, as if she had killed our people! You dare say these things after that woman risked her life to bring you back alive."
"She has you blinded just like everyone else-"
"NO!" At the sound of Ahtsan's sudden raise in voice, Faho jerked causing the arrow he had previously placed in his bow to launch forward towards the target. "You are blinded- blinded by your hatred that you cannot see the goodwill-"
"I did it."
"Goodwill? What goodwill has come of their arrival? Nothing!"
"I-I did it."
"We are not talking about the sky people- we are talking about Olivia!"
"I DID IT!" Both warriors turned their snarling faces towards the forgotten student who whooped in joy. There- nestled securely within the confines of the target was a single arrow. Tsu'tey didn't quite know what to do- ignore his student to continue a pointless argument or praise Faho for not being a complete failure. "We are finished here." Actually- neither was the choice as the warrior scowled at Ahtsan before trudging off with the intent of finding the source of all his inner turmoils. Faho watched his teacher retreat without a single word of praise or acknowledgement causing the boy to frown at the bow in his hands.
