"Abbi, Four needs us in the pit. He said he received news from Caitlyn about Candor." says Luke. We sprint towards the pit. When we get there Four is standing in a chair and everyone is gathered around him.

"Everybody, listen up!" he says. "I got a call from Caitlyn, our spy from Candor. Marcus is leading an attack on Dauntless in three days."

"So we're running again?" says Savannah.

"No! We're dauntless. We don't run. We fight." yells Four.

"I'm not dauntless, I'm abnegation." Savannah replies.

"The gates of the city are closed and heavily guarded. We couldn't run even if we wanted to." says Tris.

"So what are we going to do?" shouts Laura.

"Fight. Fight back with everything we have." says Four.

We're fighting again.

Which means that some of the people here aren't going to make it out alive.

And one of those people could be Luke.

The crowd starts shouting and arguing, though I can't distinguish their words. I head down the hall, wanting to escape. No one, not even Luke, follows after me. Everyone is caught up in the chaos. I'm walking down the corridor when someone suddenly shoves me to the floor. I jump to my feet and see Code. I kick him in the stomach causing him to stumble backwards. Then I see him pull something, something metal and shiny, out of his pocket. He runs out me full speed.

Next thing I know, the knife pierces into my leg. Every ounce if common sense tells me that I'm in to much pain to keep fighting, but I know losing this fight could mean losing everything.

I punch Code in the face. I stumble to pull the knife out of my leg. I stab it into his chest, and he stops fighting. He stops breathing.

I killed him.

It's at that moment that all the pain from the cut in my leg, the cut on my back, and the cut across my forehead starts coming. By now, I should be used to this pain. But this time is different. I'm alone. The only things occupying the hallway are me, Code, and the knife that ended this fight.

I'm alone, and second by second, the pain gets worse. I'm losing so much blood that I could die from it right now. I wouldn't get to say goodbye to anyone. I wouldn't get to say goodbye to Luke.

Tears start pouring from my eyes, and I do what the instincts of pain tell me to do. I scream.
