"Evan!" I scream at the top of my lungs, as Key grabs Siren's hand and starts running.
"Come on, we have to get out of here." Luke says.
I kneel down beside Evan. "He saved my life, and you want me to just leave him here?" I scream.
"Yes... Abbi, we need to leave. Now."
"He saved me life! He might still be alive! I can't just leave him here, you selfish, inconsiderate, jerk!" I shout. Luke stands there in shock and then storms out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
I lay there crying for a few minutes, trying but failing to hold back the tears. I hear the door open again and I jump. The fear leaves when I realize it's just Tris and Four. "Abbi, are you okay?" Tris shouts.
"I guess." I say.
"Don't worry, there's not Candor people left."
"Is everyone okay?" I ask. "I mean, other than Evan." Just saying his name is hard, memories of happiness turned to memories of pain.
"Not exactly." Tris says.
"Who else got hurt?" I ask.
Four starts to hesitate. Tris answers instead. "You're parents."
