Brendon's POV.

"Brendon Urie's house turned into a crime scene, yet again! What is he hiding?" Newspapers say everywhere. I've gotten countless texts and emails from friends, family, and fans.

"Bren?" Ryan walks into the kitchen. "Morning." He mumbles. He grabs a pain med.

"You still have to take those?" I ask, concerned. He nods. He takes the pill and drinks a glass of water. Then he sits next to me and grabs my hand.

"Are you okay? You've been acting differently."

"Hard not to." I sigh and shut my computer screen. "How about we go out tonight? Just the two of us."

"I'd like that." He says, leaning his head against the crook of my neck.

"Where exactly are we going?" He asks in the car.

"To a place," I answer. He groans.

"Seriously?" I hear him laugh. I haven't heard him laugh in a while. Maybe I have, it just feels like it's been forever.

~~~
We walk in and the server shows us to our seats. "What would you like to drink?"
"Red wine," I say. The server nods and leaves.
We eat for a bit, small talk. I notice Ryan staring in one direction for a while.
I look back, only to see a couple- glaring at us.
"This is nice..." I say. He nods slowly. I grab his hand. "It's okay," I whisper.
Then he tenses up. Squeezing my hand. I turn around and a man is right in my face.
"Disgusting." He seethes.
"Excuse me?" Ryan stands up. "How dare you?" He clenches his fist.
"God said that a man should only be paired with a woman. Not another man." He says. "You two are a disgrace. Leave."
"You do not tell me what to do."
"You are going against GOD'S WILL."
"STOP!" A manager yells.
"Finally, get them to leave." The man points to Ryan.
"I have to leave? You started this. Sure a thousand years ago some dude decided to rule the world and wanted everyone to be exactly like him. But guess what? No one is. Not even you! You should know that rudely judging someone is probably against 'God's' will. And me being gay isn't the reason I'm going to hell... No. I have way more reasons. How would you feel, if you were judged, and you couldn't do anything about it? Why the fuck do you think you have to right to judge me? You have no idea what I've been through, and although I don't know what you've been through, I can already bet, I've been through more."
I can't help but smile. He's so strong and he doesn't even know it.
"You have to leave." The manager points to the man. The man scoffs and walks to his wife, grabs her by the arm and walks off.
"I'm sorry for that." The manager says, glaring at the door- as if the couple will burst back in. "You get a free bottle of red wine, I hope that pays for that... Inconvenience."
"That was amazing," I whisper in Ryan's ear. He looks at me.
"I didn't do anything."
"You're still my hero."
A/N Sorry if that bothered you (Religious stuff), although it really shouldn't I don't know. ;)
