(COMPLETED) Cliffhanger's Night of Murder

Chap 17: The final conclusion (part 3)

Detective Billy: "The culprit is Barenko!"

Everyone was surprised at the sudden answer of detective.

Harold: "How??? He died. He was in the car and it exploded like i told you so" (re-read chap 8)

Detective Billy: "Yeah! But did you actually see him inside the car when it exploded?"

Harold: "No..."

Detective Billy: "Exactly! That's why he is my forth suspect and this letter just confirmed it. Read it!"

Me, Miss.Cathy and the Butler read the letter together, it said:

"Hello Anna,

I'm still alive! I will explain everything later but now, i am now injured pretty bad that's why i need you to do something for me.

Help me capture Cathy and bring her to the party room! I will do the rest

Once i am done with my plan, we will finally live together like you always wanted.

Barenko Quixer"

Harold: "I remember Miss.Anna secretly read this before. Never expected it was from the Mayor" (re-read chap 9)

Detective Billy: "He needed Anna's help probably because he was injured when escaping that car's explosion. Anna believed it right away but sadly she was killed by him afterwards"

Butler Peter: "So the hoodie figure we were chasing previously..."

Detective Billy: "Yep, that's him!"

And then right at this moment, we heard a loud metal clash's sound. When we turned our heads to see what it was, turned out there were iron bars just appeared from somewhere blocking our way out, locking us inside the room.

After that, we heard the wall opposite the exit starting to move, reveal a big glass. On the other side of the glass showed....Mayor Barenko!

Mayor Barenko: "Hello guys! Miss me?" He appeared with a sinister smile, there was a big burn mark on his face.

Detective Billy: "You son of a bitch. Let us out now!"

Mayor Barenko: "Or what? This glass was bulletproof, you can't break it and get to me"

Detective Billy: "You..."

Mayor Barenko: "You must have wondering why i trapped you here. Well the room you are standing in, is actually...uhm...some kind of big oven which just a simple button can burn you into Roasted Thanksgiving Turkeys"

Butler Peter: "That sounds bad..."

Harold: "No shit Sherlock!"

Mayor Barenko: "I should take this last moment to explain my "evil plan". No no not "my"! OUR evil plan" then from behind, beyond the iron bars, we heard footsteps getting closer and with just a few minutes later.

That person was stepping was....

Butler Peter: "Natt?"

Harold: "You have been helping him all this time?"

Mayor Barenko: "Yes she is! She has been very loyal. She was the one who stole Anna's car key and placed it behind the mansion (re-read chap 7). While everyone thought i was dead, she helped me get inside the mansion"
