(COMPLETED) Cliffhanger's Night of Murder

The Final Chap

We all looked at each other's terrified faces while our bodies were shaking in fear because of realizing that we would be burned alive while the Mayor just looked at us with a smirk on his face.

But after few minutes,....

Butler Peter: "Uhm...I don't see anything is happening!"

From terrified we turned surprised, even the Mayor, from the other side of the glass, looked very surprised. He pressed the button repeatedly but still not a damm thing happened.

Mayor Barenko: "How how how? You should have became Barbecue by now!"

Then Natt spoke up: "Because dear Mayor, the real remote control is here!" Then she showed us another remote control, she continued saying: "And the one who will become Barbecue are not them,...it's YOU!"

After hearing that, the Mayor quickly went for the door to get put of the room he was staying at but for some reasons, he couldn't seem to open it.

Mayor Barenko: "Why did you-"

Natt: "It was part of Dad's plan"

Mayor Barenko: "James?"

Natt: "He told me to help you executed the plan but also when you finished killing Miss.Anna and Erika, you will be the next!
By doing that it's to make the "outcome 2" happened (re-read previous chapter), so that you would have to be in the room you are standing at, for me to end you right there"

Detective Billy: "That's why you gave us the code to help us find this secret tunnel but you couldn't get close to us much because Barenko was watching your action (re-read chap 9)"

"Exactly! That's your real role being here detective and now for the showdown" Natt pressed the button.

We saw through the glass to where the Mayor was standing. His body felt the sudden increase of heat in the room. The sweat of his body dropping down like waterfall. Mayor started to breath faster and faster. Few moments later, we could clearly see fire appeared inside the room of the Mayor.

He screamed then he yelled: "WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?"

Natt showed a recorder and turned it on:

"Barenko, if you are listening to this then you have successfully completed the plan but also being slowly burned 'till death.

I know that you would decided to help me because if this plan succeeded i would die and Lucky would go to prison, you would be the only one left to inherited this mansion and all of the fortune. But you don't expect it to be your way to grave, right?

You must have been wondering "what did i do to deserve this?". Well that is a very funny question!

Lets count yourself how many sins you have done to this town ever since you became the Mayor (re-read chap 6).

Because of you, lots of families and good people got harmed so for all those innocent soles that you stole, you will pay by your own life.

The dark pit of Hell is waiting to swallow you whole so don't keep the devil waiting, brother!..."

We saw the fire reached the body of the Mayor as it was slowly consuming his body. He trembled on the ground as he kept screaming painfully without stopping.

We could see all his hair and his skin were all burned out, revealed the flesh inside.

It was a very terrifying scene and it lasted way too long to even watch.

Meanwhile, the recorder still kept playing:
"To Lucky, brother i am sorry that i framed you into this. I understand that it wasn't your fault that Cathy left me and it wasn't her fault, either. So i truly apologize to both of you.

And lastly for Cathy, i am sorry that you got involved in this vengeance plan of mine and i am truly sorry that i had became a terrible husband.

I hope after this, you two will still live a fruitful life together. I believe that!

End of the message!"

After that, Natt released all of us from the room. We got out and left the Mayor still burning.

Even tho the bridge-the only way to get out of the prison got destroyed, the secret tunnel still got another exit leading down the valleys.

When we reached there, it would took us 2 hours before we reached the town and finally called the polices.

Detective explained every details to them. The polices followed Detective and carried away four dead bodies. One of the bodies got burned almost to ashes, I didn't need to explain whose body was that.

Natt got arrested for murder the Mayor, even tho they knew the Mayor involved in this tragic event too. Mrs.Cathy had tried to defend Natt, although Natt still seemed to hate her. This made her really regretted herself.

But the worse part was Lucky, when he woke up, he became totally mad, seemed like he couldn't bare the fact that he just killed his brother and friend. He was sent to an asylum. Based on what people said, he won't get to normal soon. That left Mrs.Cathy totally depressed.

We also found out that the reason Cook Erika was killed because her family was all cannibals. They were responsible for a lot of missing people cases, Max's family was their victims. The evidences master James gathered proved this.

Month after that, a big funeral happened. The bodies of the 4 friends got buried next to each other. I bet they were gonna have a lots of talk on Heaven.

Now with James, Barenko died, Layth went to asylum and Natt got arrested. Cathy got the responsibility to take care of the Quixer family's fortune and the Cliffhanger Mansion until Lucky came back.

A year has passed ever since, the town got a better Mayor, all the crimes in the town started to disappear.

I am now pursuing the career of being an author and the Butler-Peter is my assistant. He was clumsy at first but a very hard-working guy.

Billy left the town, he said that here only reminded him of sadness and sorrow. I think he got back to his FBI business in Washington.

Me and Peter has helped Mrs.Cathy got out of her depression and she seemed to got better each days now.

This wasn't that bad of a ending, isn't it?
