Pay for what I did? It's not like I killed someone.
The same thoughts wander in Taeyeon's empty mind as she follows Baekhyun through the halls of the building and waits for him to unlock the door of his apartment.
For a second, especially when she glances at her door, she considers to run as fast as possible, and get in her apartment. But then she reminds herself that Baekhyun is Baekhyun and he's still her boss and there is probably nothing dangerous coming up -the worst thing that can happen is him teasing her nonstop.
"You're not going to come in?" Baekhyun asks as he holds the door for her, drawing her out of her thoughts.
Taeyeon pushes a sheepish smile, stepping inside under his gaze. She hears the door click shut behind her, and some shuffles come from him as he -as she assumes- takes off his jacket.
Finally calming her breaths, she focuses on the view in front of her and finds herself realizing that the interior is no longer the same.
The kitchen is still at the same location, but the dining table and the living room package have exchanged their places. In front of the glass wall, instead of the dining table, now are standing the multiple sofas, along with the low tables and TV.
The dining table isn't long and rectangular anymore, it's now white and circle, simple and fit for someone living on his own. As for the sofas, in contrary of the old and business-ish ones, these look way more welcoming and comfortable.
"You have changed the decor." Taeyeon states in a questionable manner when he passes next to her, pacing to the open kitchen.
Baekhyun nods, opening the refrigerator. Then, taking out a couple cans of beer, he adds "You should see the bedroom, it's way better now."
Taeyeon blushes at that, her mind immediately drifting to something inappropriate but she shakes her head, clearing her thoughts for a few seconds. "Why would I see your bedroom?"
"Because," He pauses, opening a can. "that's where you'll change into something more comfortable than what you're wearing." Now he is pointing at her A-line dress, and it makes her awkwardly shift as he stops in front of her.
"Come, I'll give you some clothes." Baekhyun softly speaks, sipping on his can of beer in between breaths as he gently curls his fingers around her wrist, pulling her with him.
Baekhyun likes skinship -Taeyeon has come to know that with time. These small short contacts from time to time mean nothing to him, but to her, it is the complete opposite.
Not only it makes her feel warm and safe, but it also sends shivers through her bones sometimes, reminding her that she has already fallen for him and that there is no way for her to escape her feelings, even if she keeps denying them.
"Am I staying over for the night?" She asks him as they stroll across the corridor.
"Yes, that's the way you're going to pay for what you did."
"You can't be serious, right?"
"I'm not. It's just an excuse so I could make you stay."
Taeyeon glances up at Baekhyun, spotting a pink stain on his cheek.
"Why are you so cute?"She stands on the tip of her toes, pinching his cheek.
He catches her hand, stopping her from what she was doing and questionning, "Did you just call your boss cute?"
Clearing her throat, she lowers her gaze to her feet."Sorry, I was a little bit-Wait a minute," Taeyeon unconsciously snaps at him.
"Didn't we agree to stop treating each other like you are the CEO of the company and I'm an artist."
