Part 8: Rebel

In the morning I got ready for school as usual. I got in the shower and then I went into my room in my towel. I grabbed my clothes and got dressed. Today I chose to wear the skirt because it was extremely hot outside. I had missed the bus but I decided I wanted to walk. I left the house and began to walk. The school was only about twenty minutes away and I liked to walk around. As I was walking I got the feeling again. I stopped and looked around again there was only me and the people driving by in their cars. I decided to continue walking and try to ignore the feeling.

I put my headphones in and continued to walk looking at the ground. I couldn't hear the rest of the world and I was blocking out everything. After a while I looked up and a car was just about to hit me so I closed my eyes and screamed. All of a sudden I felt a strong force pull me out of the way. Whatever it was moved me out of the way really quickly. I had my eyes closed and I was shaking. My heart was beating super fast and then I felt the thing that grabbed me. It was a person. Based on the strong chest it was a man. I immediately thought of James. I moved closer to the person and held onto him.

He held onto me tightly. "Lotty it's okay now. You can open your eyes." The voice didn't belong to James. It was Michaels voice. I opened my eyes and I was extremely close to him. At this point I was just happy to be alive. "Michael?" He smiled and looked down at me "Ya I was just walking around and I saw you and the car so I ran over here quickly and pulled you out of the way." I smiled "Thank you. So is there any secrets you are keeping from me." The second I said this I saw his face get worried. "I won't tell anyone." He let me go and backed up. "Well don't freak out okay. I understand if you are afraid but just know I would never hurt you ever." I nodded "I know you wouldn't you just saved my life." He smiled and then pulled me close. He began to whisper in my ear "I am a vampire." I felt a little bit awkward but I was happy he trusted me. I whispered in his ear "I know you are. My boyfriend is one too." He looked at me shocked "You are dating one of the Pastili brothers?" I nodded "James."

He looked at me almost worried "Oh cool...." I looked up at him but ignored his face "We should get to school." He looked at me with a smirk "Or we can skip. I mean We can hang out and I can't show you things that most humans will never see." I was nervous. "What if we get caught." He laughed "Darling I'm a vampire it is vey difficult to catch a vampire." I laughed "Okay then Mr.Vampire what do you wanna show me?" He smiled "So you are agreeing to skipping school? Ms.GoodyTwoShoes" I gently and playfully pushed him "I can be a rebel if I want to be."

He laughed and then grabbed my hand. "Well let's go little rebel." We turned around and began walking. Was this a smart idea? Should I have skipped school? What were we gonna do all day? Would we get caught? It didn't matter now. I was skipping not only so I could have some fun for once but because I didn't want to live up to the title GoodyTwoShoes anymore. Today was the day that I would rebel against the rules. Today was the day I was free.
