I stretched and pulled myself out of bed. I found it hard to believe that I could get any sleep after the events that occurred in my dreams. I gathered some clothes out of my closet to wear for the day and stripped out of my fuzzy pajama pants that, in fact, had one of my favorite animals on it, (penguins!) and out of it’s matching tank top.
I had no idea what to do for the rest of the day after I ate breakfast and cleaned all of the dirty dishes. I glanced out of the window. Not too shabby. Maybe a perfect day to read a book outside? I smiled at the thought and ran to my room to grab the book I had been reading, then ran outside. I found a nice seat at the base of the sole tree in my front yard. I leaned against its trunk and got lost in the book after the first sentence.
Thirty easily read pages later, I saw movement in my peripheral. The figure that had made the movement started coming closer and I stopped reading. I kept my eyes focused on the page, but didn’t get one word to sink in. The closer it moved, I noticed it was a person, but I didn’t relax. The person was a lot taller than me. Closer and closer, it kept moving. I could finally take in some of the figure’s features; tall, human, blonde hair, quite attractive, although his face was quite blurry.
“Boo!”
I didn’t flinch at all, knowing that was Tyler. I slowly looked up before I spoke with a smirk.
“You didn’t scare me, Tyler.”
He feigned grumpiness before smiling at me once more. I put my fantastic dinosaur bookmark (that I bought once upon a time at a school book-fair) in my book and closed it . I stretched my arms out to him so he could pull me up, which he did. Once I was completely on my feet, I pulled him into a tight hug. His hugs were no where near as comforting and warm as my boyfriend’s hugs.

Weeks later I was not having weird dreams about Anthony and he seemed more attached to me than usual, but, of course, I didn’t mind. Cuddling with him was, in fact, one of my favorite hobbies.
He was leading me through the park that we had been to just about a month earlier. The park was more gorgeous than anyone would expect from a public park. He led me to a cute little meadow that could be found at the end of the park’s walking trail. I didn’t know that this meadow even existed until Anthony told me about it. The meadow included a cute little pond, big enough to swim in, but not enough to be a lake.
He sat down with his back against the rock that was adjacent to the pond. He patted the ground next to him, gesturing for me to sit down. I sat right beside him, leaving no space between us. He grabbed my right hand as we sat in a peaceful silence, enjoying nature’s captivating beauty.
Suddenly, I felt his gaze move to me. I shifted my body so I could face him, still holding his hand. He never looked more handsome, beautiful even. Finally, my eyes met his warm, chocolaty, brown eyes and I saw, what I guess was, a longing expression on his face. The expression wasn’t extremely obvious, if you wouldn’t have known him as long as I did, you might not have even noticed it. I saw his eyes move slowly down to my lips. I involuntarily licked my lips in anticipation, and moved closer to him. He looked up to meet my eyes once again, basically asking with his eyes if it was okay, and moved himself closer as well. He leaned towards me, closer and closer.
My first kiss... and I’m not even mentally worrying about it, the time has finally come.
I smiled and he smiled. I felt his warm breath fully on my face and could feel his warmth humming off of him. I finally closed my eyes, and felt his lips gently touch mine. My heart instantly skipped a beat. Right after that one second of lip contact, he pulled back. I opened my eyes and saw a curious expression written on his face. Instinct told me to do the next thing that I did.
I let go of Anthony’s hand and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling his lips back to mine and I kissed him, hard, and he kissed me back with the same amount of passion. That’s when I felt it, I felt the ‘fireworks.’
After what felt like forever, we both pulled away to breathe. He rested his forehead on mine while I tried to gather my thoughts again. I was so dazed, like I was on a high. I was smiling like an idiot, no doubt, and I saw him smiling back.
“That was--” I say and take another breath.
“Amazing.” We say together then laugh.
He leaned down a little and kissed my nose before returning his forehead to mine again. I looked into his eyes and saw such a great amount of affection in them. I wasn’t worried about him not liking me anymore.
I tilted my head up a few centimeters and said exactly what I was thinking.
“I love you, Anthony.”
Anthony’s eyes lit up, although they looked a lot like melted chocolate. He broke out into one of the most goofiest smiles I had ever seen.
“I love you, too, Sophie.”
He wrapped his arms around my waist, tightly, and I wrapped mine around his neck. I inhaled his scent deeply and hugged him as tightly as I could. I felt him kiss my hair and I bet he still had his goofy smile, because I did.
There was nothing else that I wanted to do in that moment than to be there with him. It was perfect.
