Chapter Eleven
A Secret
"I looked casually at Austin, but in reality my heart began to race and it ran into my throat. I felt I couldn't breathe, but I maintained the calm demenear I held through the beginning of the interview."
~
I woke up, feeling energetic and truly rested, I walked into the living room, Austin asleep on his couch with nothing but boxers on. I smiled, walking over to the couch and stealing one of his cigarettes, I went outside and smoked the cigarette, taking each drag slowly. Taking note that I was smoking more and I should make sure I wasn't getting dependent on them.

The embarrassment of the night before wanted to eat away at me, I couldn't help but let the excitement succeed the shame. I'm on tour, it's official, I am a true artist. My mind drifted to Austin, and how he made me feel, as much as it sounded like a Shakespeare play, I couldn't help but note how he made me feel like no one else. My whole life I would want something, so deeply, until I got it, and it suddenly lost all its value to me, but finally I felt something that I got and didn't want to let go of.

The way he fogged my mind whenever I thought of him or saw him, the way his tender words and soft voice made me feel more comfort than anyone else could deliver, it was a toxic I was craving more and more with every hour. In only one day, I felt all my apprehension fade, and all I was left with was desire and worry.

I sat outside even after I finished my cigarette, but soon Austin joined me on the porch. "Song Bird?"

"Yes Bear?" He laughed.

"You wouldn't stop calling me Boo Bear last night." I cringed, grabbing the bridge of my nose.

"I sadly remember." I felt Austin sit beside me, I leaned into him. "Getting high was, honestly, amazing."

"It's fun, and there's no hangover or comedown, you just wake up better than ever, a little fuller and more rested." For a moment the pair of us sat there, watching the breeze shuffle the branches and leaves. "We don't have to be at the arena for a while, what do you want to do?"

"I have an idea." I looked at him with sultry eyes.

"A date?" I frowned. "What?"

"That's a lot more P-G than I was thinking." He laughed, kissing my nose.

"Going slow, now come on, you gotta take a shower I'll find something for you to wear."

"I don't know if I should find your parenting cute or demanding."

"Both."
~

When I walked into the shower I felt like an intruder, like I was somewhere I wasn't suppose to be. Suddenly it occurred to me, there was only one loofah to wash myself with, Austin's, I blushed at the thought. I used everything in moderation and made sure to clean the shower when I was done and pull off all and any any hair that stuck to the walls.
